For what it's worth.....you don't have to wait 4 weeks to get the Farm Bureau discount. I only had to wait till the end of the month that I joined (which was only 6 days) and I was able to use it. I live in AZ and also joined Illinois FB because of the cost. I used the discount(s) on all 3...
I used a super heavy duty stall mat from tractor supply ($50.) cut it to fit and mounted the leftover on the tailgate. It can be flipped over to expose the smooth side.
I have to agree, The tailgate assist is awesome! I have an extra 20lbs of Stall Mat mounted to my tailgate and the assist is super helpfull upon opening it (no slamming down). I like the idea of the water barrier, but in Phoenix, it's not super necessary.
Agreed, I was looking for a very mild tread AT tire and These Hankook tires (came off of a Ranger) fit the bill perfectly. They were super smooth on the road, very little noise, and decent traction.
Tim de and MaveRick, I kept my 04 Dakota to pull my boat and go off roading. I bought it new in 04, but was tired of getting 12-14mpg. So happy with the 40+/- mpg the Hybrid Maverick provides.
Rotax, Here is a photo of my 23 AWD stock suspension with 265/60/18 AT tires. I did not experience any rubbing (even at full turn). I will admit that it crushed my gas mileage. I took the Bronze tire/wheels off before I traded for my Hybrid. The Bronze set is available in the Phoenix area.
Nice work F100Lobo! I did only my fron door panels (while upgrading the door speakers). I will probably do more deadning around the truck when it cools off. Front doors only made a slight difference in quiteness.

It should work just fine with a spray-in bed liner.

Yes it does add weight to the tailgate. I recommend a tailgate assist shock.
