Why would you like to keep a cheap plastic wheel? TBH the leather wheel makes the car IMHO. It doesn't feel nor look like an XL anylonger. I'm actually surprised the the XLTs also come with the same wheel...
I don't think anyone has done it yet with just the buttons so you might be breaking new grounds!
I ended up getting a new wheel as per the pic above as my plan is to eventually add ACC. I got the radar sensor already. I will write it up as soon as I'm done.

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to get access to low-level sound signals in the back.

As an alternative, I would also be OK with the high-level signal.
I used the existing lugs without apparent issues.
Now, if you want to know about the Bronco Sport TMPS... that is a different story. I don't know if my set came without TPMS or if they just don't sync.
Hybrid driving in Sport mode is surprisingly fun. I'm trying to figure out how many gears are being simulated. Mpg in this mode is around 34 which I consider amazing given how eager the engine and motors are to deliver the requested hp and ft-lbs. Wow!
Yes, every single time I start the truck! I agree it is nice information to have if you opt-in. In case of kids or whatever is your use case. Being forced to ack with no recourse it's super annoying.
I've googled the numbers on the white label to no avail. I've tried to disconnect the two connectors and start it up expecting some warning flashing up. Nothing showed up. Also, it didn't seem to make any difference to the sound system.
