Been here over 4 years now and I think this is one of the most discussed issues on our Mavericks. Almost everyone has an opinion and basically everyone is right. I change mine every 3500 miles and always will and for me I am right. The guy who goes 10,000, he or she is right for them.

Do you feel that the one gallon of gas is sufficient to cool that fuel pump? Not trying to beat a dead horse or bust your chops, its just I am anal as all hell and worry about things like this.
i can appreciate trying to see how many miles one can get on a tankful, but that is cutting it too close. It is not good to run modern engines out of gas. It can really do damage to the fuel pump in the tank which needs gas for cooling. It is always best to fill up at 1/4 tank to maintain...
True story right there. If you don't take care of what you own it will never take care of you. Said to me by my Dad when I got my first bike. (y)
I have 10K on my '23 and on my third oil change and one change on tranny, PTU and RDU. Why? Because I can and oil is still cheap.
Had a Realistic (Radio Shack) CB back in the 70's in my Jeep Commando. Couldn't get a word in edgewise back them. Constant chatter but sure came in handy during snowstorms on the road. Smokey reports were great too. Fun times.
Debatable. I suffered two years arguing multiple toll violations in New Jersey. A state I have not set foot in since 1971 and never will again. They claimed plate was VT 277 on a GMC pickup. VT registered trucks have a TRK plate not a passenger car plate.
Two years of multiple late fees...
I owned 3 Rangers over 33 years with a combined 550,000 miles. The Maverick is much more then a few gizmos ahead of the classic Ranger.
Improved suspension with coil overs with mono tube shocks on some trims. Bye bye torsion bars.
Independent rear suspension
Intelligent AWD System...
As promised, a quick follow up. It's been 9 days since I fully charged the battery again and did a sleep cycle with doors locked overnight.
Observations:
Truck now seems to charge around 14.3V (+/-) as opposed to 15.1 (+/-) before all this.
A/S/S is now working for the first time in over a...
Finally today it warmed up enough to install the wiring for my Dash Cam. Pulled the A Pillar trim to install the two cables and make sure all wiring was behind the Air Bag. I noticed there were two sets of clips on the bottom of the trim. The back one popped right off but I could not get the...
Thanx. I usually download the video onto my phone then use phone link to transfer the video onto my PC. By that time it is MP4. Your software should see it. Thank you very much. Appreciate your efforts. Kudos.
Thanx!! My Affver A4 records in .tp format, but automatically converts the 3 minute vid to MP4 on download to my phone. One of the reasons I bought this brand. Think I will be fine with that? i have dual 2TB SSD's so storage is a non issue for me. Thanx.
I replaced my halogens because of sandblasting from 30K Interstate miles a year. The winters were brutal on the front of my truck. My Maverick would suffer the same fate I would fear if not for the fact I am now retired and only drive 3.5K per year. They both have polycarbonate housings...
Very nice but too much for me having to remove the bumper and all. Jeez, I could pull my headlight housings out on my Ford Ranger in 30 seconds with no tools.
I wish vehicles were not so hard to work on these days.

There were over 360 million SUVs on the road globally as of 2023, a number that continues to grow annually, making them a dominant vehicle type.
Begs the question, why in hell would the Rooster Man want to drive what 360 Million people are driving when I can have a...
Outliers, there are always outliers in everything in life. Unavoidable. Boggles my mind Ford would say your experience is normal. It is not normal and it is also not normal to expect people to just deal with something that is not working properly. I would love to install outlets to the Ford...
