Don't do a dealer trade in. They will make thousands off you. Further adding to your loss. Sell on your own and buy a new vehicle without trading anything in.

I agree with you and did buy a warranty for the first time. Specifically due to item One on your list and only the second purchase of a Ford in my lifetime. It's been 45 years or more.
