I was using the plug n play kit, not this one. This kit is how I believe it shoudl be wired. The Kit from Plug N Play has all the Speaker wires connected together and then out to the various inputs and outputs to and from the AMP.
I have a 2024 XLT with cloth seats. I am not a fan as it has a few stains and cleaning them is a pain. I have been looking at seat covers and I just dont think any of them look good. I found a set of Tremor seats from a wrecked 2024 and I can pick them up for about 500 bucks.

Correction. I just looked at the wiring and I do have a ground that comes off the amp. It is connected to the same location in the glove box. That appears to be the only good grounding spot
the wiring harness doesn’t have an additional ground it just pulls from the chassis harness. The only ground I have is for the Kicker sub input, but again that isn’t making any noise. It’s the speakers connected to the kicker amplifier
I bought the T harness and basically the entire kit save for the Kicker 200.4 Key amp which I bought locally. Everything sounds great except when the stereo is off. There is a noticeable amount of white noise coming from the speakers. The amp has the gain set to zero and I can still hear it...

if I connect my phone via Bluetooth I can call people without incident. I can hear them and they can hear me.
when I connect my phone via a usb cable the stereo connects to CarPlay...
