I agree. Hot phone and slow charging. And now that the Qi2 magnetic standard is out, itād be a nice option to have. Hopefully someone more skilled at fabrication could make a replacement.
Outside of the fuel economy, the hybrid has a couple of cool things. Remote start to bring the cabin to your desired temperature. And the eCVT is an engineering wonder. It should last 200k miles and is incredibly smooth.
Iām on my second Tesla Model Y performance as my primary driver. I wanted something to explore AZ without worrying about charging so I bought a 2025 Lariat Hybrid. Itās very comfortable and rides nicely. Iāve taken a couple 1000 mile trips in the Maverick and itās a great vehicle. Wireless...
I had the local dealer send their mobile guys out. Nice guys but warned me that the SW update failed 3/4 times already. They hooked up my 25 Lariat with a fast wifi connection but unfortunately failed. Next step is to take to dealer and drop off. Really surprising since my other car is a Tesla...
I think it would be fair to eliminate the gas tax. Then all vehicles, placed into a couple weight classes, would be taxed annually based on reported mileage. I think most insurance companies require an annual odometer photo already. So itās not tracking where you went but just miles travelled...
Oh yeah never even tried to use the Ford system in my 2025 Lariat. Apple Car Play is seamless once paired. You just get in and it creates a wifi connection to the truck. Fast and responsive, never have to worry about an update. Plus all your favorite Apple apps: Maps, Messages, Podcasts, Music...
I went with the AWD Hybrid BAP on mine. Comfy leather seats. The adaptive cruise and lane keep are great for road trips and even driving around town. CarPlay integration is nice with a big display. Itās a great vehicle. My other car is a Tesla Y and I alternate between them.
I have a 25 and CarPlay works well with messages. The notification banner shows up on the bottom and Siri will read it. If I donāt read it, the Messages app will have a red dot to indicate unread messages.
My bet would be on the do not disturb while driving setting
Some good and some funny advice here.
I changed mine after a nice road trip at 2500 miles. Youāll note the factory oil filter is smaller than the recommended one in the manual.
I replaced the oil with Mobil 1. Iām planning on following the recommendations from the onboard oil monitor from...
I used the original mounting tape and installed about 3 months ago. They are sticking fine. I did mount mine backwards but it doesnāt seem to matter.
My other vehicle is a Tesla Model Y. I really am accustomed to the āone pedalā driving in it where the regen is pretty strong. In fact, I seldom have to touch the brakes while driving normally. Given the Hybridās eCVT is infinitely adjustable and the HVB is monitored for temperatures, driving in...
The guy who cleaned the windows at my house swears by #0000 steel wool for all glass. He said he uses it on his car windows. Your mileage may very š
I have a 2025 Lariat with 2400 miles on it. No issues with brakes or drivetrain. I just changed the oil with a buddy and it took longer to remove the protective panel than to remove the oil plug and filter. Put in some Mobil 1 from Amazon and a Motorcraft filter (interestingly, taller than...
