  1. Dealer added too much oil

Take it back to the dealer and have them drain some out. It shouldn't be your problem since its their screwup. Running the engine for more than a minute or two with that much extra oil in it is going to aerate your oil and cause an engine failure.
  2. Oil Leak in Hybrid

Right after an oil change, I'd bet there is nothing wrong. The moron filling the engine back up spilled some and that's what you see.
  3. Bad Axles

You got warranty even though you changed the CV angles with the lift kit and warranty for rock damage? Both of those should have voided the warranty, so how does that work?
  4. 2024 FORD MAVERICK PRIVATE OFFER DETAILS

Is there any communication about the Canadian private offer? So far I've seen absolutely nothing from Ford, 2 dealers, or from this website.
  5. 10,000 Mile 2023 XLT Hybrid Review

Have you had any of the recalls done on this? That may explain the grabby brakes, the ICE stumbling after shutdown, and the radio issues. The rattle in the dash is probably due to the loose grille at the windshield, which is also fixed at the dealer. While the ride can best be described as...
  6. New winter wheels and tires installed. Post yours up!

How are you finding the aluminum rims working out with salt damage? Salt and the bromine solution on the roads are the main reasons why my snows have always been on on steelies in Ontario. I found that the aluminum rims corroded especially at the tire sealing area, causing leaks that can't be...
  7. Protecting Your Car from Being Stolen-Theft

I guess you don't have any homeless or drug addicts walking by in the middle of the night, checking for open cars, ripping off everything in your glove compartment and centre console, or just eating and having a shit in your new vehicle. You definitely have not thought this through. Maybe you...
  8. Protecting Your Car from Being Stolen-Theft

Its called a Faraday cage, and it blocks signals typically into the room, bag or box that is wrapped in an electrical shield. They can't amplify the signal from up to 75ft within your house to steal the truck if they can't get a signal. Just keep your keys in a metal box when you drop them at...
  9. Depreciation- How much will a Maverick lose in value when you drive it off the lot ?

There was a posting back in July showing what the dealers get for the vehicle and each option (https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/2024-maverick-price-list-msrp-invoice-pricing-all-models-options.34193/), and its generally under 4%. On an XLT with no options they make $600 before...
  10. Depreciation- How much will a Maverick lose in value when you drive it off the lot ?

Has anybody who sold their Maverick actually had any depreciation? I regularly see ads for $10k above MSRP for high-mileage EBs and $15k above for hybrids. Granted, they now have tonneaus and new tires, but that doesn't add up to nearly the same price increases. Nobody is selling for less...
  11. 2024 Canadian orders

Yeah, that seems pretty normal for these secretive Canadian dealerships. Ford Canada also is remarkably uncommunicative, and don't even send out the 45-day updates that Ford USA sends you. The incompetence is astounding. The best bet is to get your dealer order# (4 characters, usually using...
  12. 3rd Brake Light Full LED Lens Bulbs Upgrade

With some 5-minute stoplights, yes. That might improve when the cold and snow comes.
  13. 3rd Brake Light Full LED Lens Bulbs Upgrade

How about just providing some replacement LED bulbs with better heat characteristics than LasFits that can't handle being on at a stoplight for more than a minute. LEDs should produce a lot less heat than the factory incandescent bulbs, but nobody seems to have ones that can dissipate it...
  14. New winter wheels and tires installed. Post yours up!

Ok, here's a pretty comprehensive winter tire shootout, along with comparisons with all-season and summer-only tires for winter use: https://www.motor1.com/news/689645/best-11-winter-tires-for-2023-2024-from-tyre-reviews/ Its pretty clear that most winter tires are waay better than all-seasons...
  15. Insurance

Currently paying $77/mo on a very fast Fusion from CAA MyPace insurance. The quote for my Mav is $66/mo. No accidents for 40 years.
  16. MY24 Maverick owners manual

No MY24 Mavs have been built yet, so nobody has that manual.
  17. New winter wheels and tires installed. Post yours up!

Huh? Those are off-road, not snow tires. Those are going to suck worse than the all-season tires on anything even moderately icy.
  18. Bad Axles

That "racing" guy doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. 0 degrees is definitely not optimal. At that angle you will not get the grease circulating at all, and the bearings will fail really early. The same is true on a driveshaft, where the U-joints should be at a 2-3 degree angle so...
  19. My Attempt at Having the Finite Hybrid Lariat Lug Nut Answer

The lugnuts on the Bronco, Bronco Sport and the Escape are too small. Get the lugnuts for the F-150, as they have the same size stud. One would think that the studs on the Bronco would be larger to handle the expected serious offroading, but nope.
  20. 235 65 r17 winter tires for maverick XL that has 225 65 r17?

Aside from the fairly small error in your speedo being low, the larger tires are going to make it a bit more difficult to cut into the snow down to the hard surface, and you're going to float and lose control more easily. In snow, bigger tires are not a good choice. Also, think about the snow...
