After an order has been placed and is officially in the Ford system what, if any thing, can be changed? Can the color or the build be changed? How about optional packages (added or removed)? If changes are allowed, does it have any impact other than the final price?

I don't see how that makes sense. If a person thinks they can't order the vehicle they want they'll move down their list to the next option. I believe they're scaling back the customer orders so they can allot more resources to stock orders and get more on dealership/fleet hands. One off orders...

I called 1-800-392-3673 gave them my Sale Code and Order Code from the documentation my salesman gave me and she confirmed my order is in their system waiting scheduling. She also chuckled and said she didn't blame me for being paranoid because the order books for the Hybrids closes tomorrow.

Out of curiosity, why would you want a 2023 at this point? That's awesome that you're finally getting the truck you ordered, you've waited long enough. Haha.

Agreed, I didn't say it would all be black. I'm simply saying other trim pieces will be swapped to black as well and they're not just dropping black seats in an otherwise unchanged interior. It can take a few hours to get the e-mail. You'll varied replies here and Reddit stating it can be anywhere from 1-48 hours. Mine took 10 hours to land in my inbox.
