We live in south Florida and have been very pleased with the A/C on the Maverick. It stays cold at a stop. Gets very cold. Leaps and bounds better than any other 4 cylinder I've had. What I find is auto start stop doesn't come on much do to heat, especially initially until the vehicle cools...
You get more. Better stereo, better interior, Co-Pilot 360 included, towing capacity, etc. Using options isn't the only gauge. I love my Mavericks and already have a RAM 1500 for towing. Just saying once I hit 35K would move up. Subjective.
I think once you are pushing 35K you should move up to a Ranger. 38K would get you a nicely equipped XLT. Heck if you go for a 2023 you could get an FX2 XLT for 36K.
I ordered 2 ecoboost Mavericks in September. One is a base XLT FWD eco base for my son . The other is a XLT AWD FX4 with 4K with no other options. Picked up the FWD yesterday and son already went mountain biking today. FX4 being built next week is for my wife. Dealer said lucky to get both...
Originally ordered one XLT hybrid and one XLT ecoboost fwd. Needed one for the wife and one for the son. Switched the hybrid to ecoboost due to availability. Added Awd, fx4, and 4k To one of them. Not that I need it in Florida and I also have a Ram 1500. Just figured it made sense.
My City is budgeting for their 2024 fleet of XL's is 28K. I'm sure that is an estimate, but they follow the state contract. 2023 state contract was 21.5K. They do add about 2k for outfitting so $21.5K to $26K.
My Maverick XLT FX4 4K Tow (w/no other add ons) comes to $30,195 with destination/delivery charge. A 2024 Ford Ranger 4x2 XLT sport package with trailer pkg and rear locker comes out to $38,015 with destination/delivery. You get much more with the Ranger. My Maverick does not have co-pilot...
