I've ordered 3 cars in 4 weeks and all required a copy of the DL.
When I picked up my Rogue, they wanted a copy of insurance even though it was a cash deal. What business of theirs is it?
I get that Nissan motor finance would be interested but I showed up with a bank check.
It could have to...
We talked about this on the Accord forum 9 years ago. On the Accord, there needs to be strengthening of the metal in the area to mount the strut. The V6 hood has it, but not the 4 cyl.
This may not apply to the Mav but if the hood is built in like the Bronco Sport, it should work structurally...
My 2005 300C owner's manual said "brief periods of WOT aid in the break in process".
There's nothing special about Chrysler metal.
I'm not even sure "break in" even exists these days given the wide range of recommendations over the last 50-60 years.
Back '30s and 40s when cars had cast iron...
I use them on every car possible. Love it and it makes oil changes a pleasure.
Applications are for cars with a horizontal drain. My '13 X5 (sold to Carvana last week for high $$) drain was on the bottom so no application. My '21 Rogue has an angled bolt. I didn't check to see if the Rogue is...
I'll be using the Fram XG also.
Oil filter and drain bolt magnets hold those sub 10 micron particles against the filter wall and drain bolt tip which means they aren't passing through the filter. I'm saving the 20 year old arched Filtermag for the Mav as well as a drain bolt mag. These pics...
Honda does not recommend early oil changes and I read about "break in " oil they use.
Some cars come with full synthetic at day one. I guess they never break in. In my opinion based on heat and cold testing, synthetic blend is inadequate especially for a turbo. I won't use it, you just don't...
Roger that. Makes sense for the hybrid which I would love to get but all sold out. I bought a 30 acre farm with a 100 year old barn and my neighbors tell me "you need AWD out here" so the hybrid is a no go for me even if it were available.
Interesting that for more than 10 years Honda has called...
Cool, thanks. If not, I'll find out when I install my filter and drain bolt magnets on day 1.
I read somewhere that the bolts with thread lock don't need to be removed to access the necessary items for the oil change. They're removing the wrong bolts according to at least one post somewhere on...
Looks great. I love mods like this. I might go for it. My '21 Rogue I picked up 4 days ago also has a naked engine. Once I get used to it, by the time my Mav arrives hopefully March, I may find I don't need it?
Great choice on oil, the best there is and full synthetic. I see 5w30 is the recommended spec unless extreme cold. In Ohio, I plan to use 5w30.
I never use synthetic blend even if Ford says it's OK. I do only synthetic for turbo and non turbo engines.
Do you know if the Torx bolts for the...
My Pacifica van has a brilliant plastic trap door that swings down. I cut a hole in my Genesis shield and used zip ties. Fail. It eventually fell off and was dragging the ground. Had to buy a new shield $250 at the dealer, $110 OEM off Ebay.
They don't want us changing the oil. It also adds...
Here's an interesting comparison of oils. People love one over another often times without good reason. For some, this is worth 10 min. Amsoil wins and Pennzoil Platinum is a close second. Platinum is my go to oil, cheap on Amazon $22 for 5qt jug.
Yes, those Amazon magnets work perfectly and I use them. I've been using the same 2 Filtermags for 20 years. I keep them when I sell.
The Amazon magnets are fantastic on the drain bolt and on the metal filter. I'll find my pics from 17 years ago when I did the first oil change on my 2005 300C...
