I do have an x l t tremor mine stays on all the time even when my auto start stop is engaged... I'm wondering if they changed something so it stays on mine is a 24 model
I added my own from a wrecked last gen mustang super easy..2 wires..a ground and power..there are 3 different wires for power..one for red, blue and green..what color you get depends on what wire you hook up
Yes, it gets power from the 12 V accessory. They stay on about 10 minutes after you shut the truck off. But do not turn on until you start it.. I did not have factory ambient lighting. Or I would have used that circuit for it so I just made my own
It's not in my 24 xlt tremor but it was really easy to add it using The ambient lighting from the previous generation Mustang. It also gives you the option to choose between red blue and green for the light. Depending on which wire you hookup
I just wanted to post a quick thread about the ease in adding ambient lighting using the stock parts from the previous generation mustang.
You need to drill one hole The size of the front of the ambient light module and 2 small holes that allows you to put the tabs that twist turn to lock it...
I have to say that, That Wire loom is one of the toughest things ford makes🤣.. Thanks, I appreciate it happened to be at a junkyard seen, a wrecked one and you would be surprised all the parts that interchange so far. Like the frameless rearview mirror will work as well as the ambient light. And...
There are 4 wires ground, one for red blue and green. Depending on which one you have hooked up is the color you get. You can use it without the module for ambient lighting.
My apologies I did not use Benz lights. The s550 is the body code for the previous generation mustang.. It was actually super easy to do. Just 2 wires didn't need a power converter or anything like that. I'll snap some pictures and they're pretty easy to find in a junkyard and online
Ok..I Get some stock ambient lights from a wrecked s550 and just installed one as you did with yours and used the 12v for the lighter to power and it was still on after I shut it off and opened the door.. Just wanted to make sure I didn't have to find a Different source of power so it will Not...
