Same here, I was worried about the size as well.
It's definitely bigger that I expected. Interior space is actually roomier than quite a few vehicles.Ive owned in the past.
My other Maverick is throwing the same error message. It's been that way for the entire week.
Vehicle should have been here already. Ford needs to get their stuff together on the logistics.
The shipping and tracking of these vehicles has been awful.
No, I didn't buy this vehicle just to save gas. I actually wanted to have a little fun with it as well.😂
My 10 year old hybrid and the eco boost get roughly the same mpg on the hwy.
No regrets in that area at all.
Honestly, I'd have regretted getting the hybrid.🤣
Have only had mine roughly 6 days. And for the most part I like the trucklet. There are a few things I wish it came with. One being rear floor mats, one touch window open and close, true keyless entry( this where you take your hand and slide it between the door and the handle with the keys in...
The first I was able to pickup last Friday. The 2nd one is still floating around in no man's land. Hopefully it will be delivered in the next couple of days. Tracking isn't working on that one any more. Had to call Ford just so they could tell me, the delivery was pushed out another week.
The first one took roughly 4 weeks from the build date to arrive. The second one, which said it shipped on Feb 17th, still hasn't arrived.
The delivery date has changed to between the 21st and 26th of March.
Ford customer service states it's most likely stuck in a rail yard awaiting a car carrier.
Picked up my Maverick Friday and drove to Tampa Saturday. Roughly a 400 mile trip.
I noticed with premium fuel I was getting 29 mpg 80/85 mph on 75 south. This is all by onboard computer. I haven't had time to do manual calculations.
Now in the Tampa area running 87. I'm averaging 27 mpg at...
Status finally updated today to Final Preparation. Called the courtesy dealer and sure enough the vehicle arrived.
Hopefully I can pick it up this upcoming week. Just waiting on Horsham to get the paperwork to me.
I know what you mean. But if you can't own both. Nothing wrong with having something atleast give a taste of that. If just a glimmer
I thirst for the driveability of my former Alfa Romeo Giulia. I know I won't get that from most vehicles. But I know for certain I won't get it out of nearly all...
True to a certain extent. The turbo is less of an appliance IMO. 🤣
No disputing one of these engines can be easily modified and the other can not.
And there's no doubt in my mind the Hybrid drivetrain will last longer. I'm willing to sacrifice some longevity, for a little more fun factor.
Tires can make a major difference in MPG. The composition of the tire itself is a factor as well.
Driving style is a major factor. Forced induction if driven a certain way can give decent MPGs.
My Honda 1.5 turbo could get 37 mpg all day long running 80 mph.
The K&N shouldn't take away from...
The last 3 vehicles I've owned have had turbo engines. I like the feel of the turbo. And the option to increase the performance if I want to.
Just can't do things like that with the hybrid.
I don't need AWD in my neck of the woods. Even the AWD isn't AWD most of the time in the Maverick. Most...
That's what I was thinking. I contacted the original salesman 8 months ago. And told him I was going to buy it else where.
He called me today and gave me an update on its location as though I never canceled the order.
Actually that's exactly what I planned to do. I'll sell it for less than the dealer will.
A GF's coworker wants one. But they are hard to come by. I can buy it and get it to her cheaper than she can on her own.
Dealer will probably add $5K or $6k to the MSRP, if I don't buy it.
