  1. My mudflap gap fix using kydex thermoplastic sheet

Oh yea, plastic should work also. I just figured I would find a use for some more kydex, don't know what , but something will crop up.
  2. A warning about installing fender flares

I wonder if that polyurethane like for the roof spoiler would seal those fender flares better.
  3. My mudflap gap fix using kydex thermoplastic sheet

Thanks for the link, I can't figure out how to add it.
  4. My mudflap gap fix using kydex thermoplastic sheet

The right side has the storage cubby filling that area. The left side cubby would probably cover that area, I'm not sure. The xlt has the light and plug in on the cover , so no box. Seems like the aftermarket would have addressed this area, but my and others fix seem to be doing ok. I don't...
  5. My mudflap gap fix using kydex thermoplastic sheet

My solution for the flap gap on the left rear mudflap. I bought a 12x12 piece of kydex on Amazon, .080 thick. Link...
  6. Clean up area around the trailer hitch

I installed mine recently, and I am glad to see I am not the only one who got the cut around the 4 pin connector a little wonky. Still looks good though. I followed another Mav the other day, he did not have this piece on his . Looked terrible with the the piece missing.
  7. Kia Homelink mirror installed

I got the 'we need your vin' email, and told them to just send it, I will not return it. They replied that it is now on back-order for 3-4 weeks. For $33.00 shipped, I told them to go ahead and put me on the list, I can wait. Gives me time to watch the install videos a few more times.:teehee:
  8. Rear Cab Spoiler installed

Question for those with the cab spoiler...Did you just use the tape, or use the extra 'glue' that comes with it. And, how is it holding up after some time on the roof. I'm wondering how it will stay stuck to the roof of a shadow black Mav in the Florida sun.
  9. Kia Homelink mirror installed

Seems like there was a box to check stating 'no vin' or something? I will reply to the email and see if there is any movement. May have to go with the Hyundai if no answer. My luck I would end up with 2 .
  10. Kia Homelink mirror installed

I have a confirmed order of a kia homelink mirror, but no ship date yet. Order went through Sunday. Worried they will cancel the order the longer it takes to send shipping info. We shall see!
  11. Maverick next to Sport Trac

When my wife saw my new Mav she said 'that looks just like your old truck". I said, yea I know, but its new.(See my profile pic here. ) Just sold my Sport Trac, I can only hope the new Mav is as reliable as the ST.
  12. Probably at the end of Modifications...well maybe one more?

The mods never end!!! You need the plastic piece around the trailer hitch, I don't remember the part number, there are threads on here about it. Really dresses up that area. Your tailgate looks good with the applique. Wouldn't show up on my shadow black though.:cwl:
  13. Haven't even made it to 2 months ownership and this windshield chip / crack happens

Yea that stinks. I just got my first rock chip on mine at 500 miles. Safelite did their thing on it, seems to be holding so far. Why can they not repair that spot? By the way, I had just installed a hood protector, I think they just keep the front of the hood from getting chipped/bug splats.
  14. Kia Homelink mirror installed

I have read this thread and still not sure of 2 things: Can you make the homelink only work when the key is turned on? I park in the driveway, my wife parks in the garage. I do not want the garage door opener operable when the key is off, parked in the driveway. Also, does the compass need to...
  15. I guess I can stop worrying now... first windshield rock chip today

Safelite came to my job and did their thing.😉Hope it will last,we shall see 🙏.
  16. I guess I can stop worrying now... first windshield rock chip today

New Maverick on may 30th. You wonder what is going to be the first uh-oh. Got a rock chip on the windshield today, first real highway miles. 148000 on my Sport trac, never got a rock chip, today is the day. Oh well, I can move on now.:frown:
  17. 2024 Hybrid Lariat Azure Grey

Only in Texas can you get away with the horns!:thumbsup: My wife wanted me to get the azure grey, lucky for me the black one was in stock local, so thats the one I got.:teehee:
  18. STANDARD LUG WRENCH IS TOO SMALL

My 2003 Explorer sport trac in my profile pic still has the chrome covered lug nuts, never had a problem with them. Of course I never did any off-roading either. My 2024 XLT with BAP has the chrome covered nuts. Thought about going to the black lugs, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", at...
  19. RealTruck AVS Bugflector II Review

I ordered one also, hoping to get a 'good' one. Delivered Sunday, and went right back in the box. The mount area was warped so bad, it would never have mounted up. Also, has several areas on the front that were rough looking. To Real Trucks credit, they didn't argue over refunding me. I told...
  20. All done...I think....my 2024 Hybrid XLT Oxford White
