First Ford and first hybrid. Bought it from a dealership three weeks after my Tacoma was totaled by two undocumented, unlicensed, uninsured teenagers who were going about 100 on the freeway at 6:30 in the morning. No injuries, fortunately.
I've had this issue a couple of times now. Very upsetting. I'll try the hard reset as described next time, but when the bluetooth connection just quits while I'm doing 75 on the freeway, the last thing I want to do is have to fuck with the radio to get it working again. I take it this is not...
I've got the parts & I can get the adaptor, what I don't have is a laptop with Forscan. Would you have time in Oakland to help out with the programming (i.e. bring the laptop)? I could get the switches installed and ready to go when you arrive. I'll pay you.
I've watched the Cuban Redneck video and it looks pretty straightforward. I can do this. My one issue is I don't have a laptop. I'd have to buy a laptop along with the parts, the Forescan program and the interface device to put it all together. I guess that would be a little cheaper than buying...
Why, now that the books are closed, are they advertising Mavericks on Yahoo? No doubt TV commercials are going to start popping up also. Does that imply the dealerships are going to start receiving inventory soon? Ahead of those of us who placed orders? Also, I received my first '45 day' apology...
I bought my '22 XL off a dealer's lot, had to pay above MSRP, then I ordered a '23 because the '22 doesn't have cruise control. I've read about the modification that can be done to add cruise control to a '22, but I can't do it, and dealerships refuse to do it, so I'll probably bite the bullet...
I finally saw another one on the freeway this morning. Not a hybrid though. I think people must be selling the hybrids and shipping them out of the area because I was seeing them here & there when I got mine in July. Not much action now.
I actually asked the dealership if there was a way to add cruise control to my XL, they said no way. I ordered a '23 XL to get one with cruise control. If this is true and I can modify my XL to have cruise control then I need to do it and let the '23 go. This is VERY important for me with my bad...
Thanks so much! That’s a bit of relief. Didn’t trust the dealership to do it. I’m typically driving 70 to 80 on the freeway morning and night. I had an English car - a Rover - that went out on me like that. Scary!
Thanks for the help. It's been an awesome ride so far, no trouble at all. I would have waited for a '23 but my Tacoma was totaled on July 6 and I needed a replacement asap. Since my Tacoma was 20 years old with 425,000 miles on it, I already had plans to order a '23 Maverick. I still put in an...
No info on the tracker site. I'll have to go with build date after the 5/18/22 date on the sticker & hope for the best. I'll have it checked out at a dealership asap. It was delivered to the dealership the same day I bought it - August 1, if that says anything...
I'm just concerned. No issues yet. 5/18/22 is noted on the window sticker - hope that's the build date. The dealership said the recalls were addressed, but offered no evidence.
This is all I see on the jamb. Should be able to access the build date from the vin number somewhere. There is a date of 5/18/22 on the window sticker. Don't know what it indicates.
