I have been well pleased with my Continental True Contact Tour54 eco. Bought oem size 225/60R18. I run them at 38-38.5 cold psi. They have high wet and light snow ratings with heat activated polymers. Rated 70k miles, but I live in Texas with hard rock chip sealed roads so expect 10-15% less...
I have used a noco genius 5 to recover a 12 volt agm (small for polaris ranger) that was dead flat, voltage less than recognizable for 6 volt battery (2-3v?). Jumper to 12v battery for 10 seconds to get surface charge over 6v battery there window then put noco on at 6v charge and leave until...
I'm gonna stick with new modern stci* not that my great, great, great grandfather's hemp fiber Oakum hammered into hole sealed with hot fired pine tar pitch he used on his model T!. It worked great then and would now if I had an environmental permit to build a roadside fire! 😇!
Plus ambient temp (70-72°F?) was above the turn on 15.1 volt dcdc rate for heaters which would not be needed unless temps were below 68-80°F. Whatever temps trigger the higher buss voltages.
ETA: am currently driving 75 mph in outside air temp of 91°F with power point buss reading to g 14.7 volts.
I have some but have never used them. They have a twisty glue coating to seal rubber. The pkg I have had several sizes. Looks like ok design.
ETA: you won't be able to stack them if you have gigantic hole. I have had to use five or six of the pull through black ones in a big hole.
I assume it is plugged into the dash PowerPoint and has a separate battery to power it's display and other needs. It could charge it's battery when the buss exceeds more than 13 or some voltage.
To keep anything from affecting the battery reading after the soak either leave the hood up during the 12hr soak (preferred) or raise the hood 90 minutes for things to go quiet after opening door and raising hood. Then in EB you can use the battery posts OR with Hybrid TAKE READINGS USING THE...
