  1. Theoretical: Help me choose between a 2023 Maverick on order or a lightly used 2021 F-150

If you need the space, added towing capacity, higher gvwr and need it sooner; and can live with greatly reduced milage and spending about $20k more, get the F-150. Otherwise, order the maverick and settle in for the long wait. 😉
  2. Truck in but salesman now "On Vacation"

Do you work for Toyota or have a Toyota Supra?
  3. Truck in but salesman now "On Vacation"

Unfortunately, due to the crazy car scene, there's a LOT of suspicion these days regarding ordering a new vehicle. I had a VERY suspicious way of thinking all the way up to actually driving the Mav off the lot. Then someone posted saying they heard back from their dealer saying they had to...
  4. Truck in but salesman now "On Vacation"

The OP's situation happened to me. My truck came in, made an appointment for the next day to test drive and fill out the paperwork and take it home, the sales guy says there isn't time to get the new plate before they close and he's leaving for vacation the next day and won't be back for a few...
  5. Insane mileage for 2.0l EcoBoost and other thoughts

With a sunroof, you lose the sunglass holder. I have a sunroof and was wondering why I couldn't find the holder on mine😁
  6. Full size spare or not full size spare?

There are a few posts regarding the full sized spare. I believe I read a full sized, full sized spare ( no, this is not a typo😉) will not fit where the spare tire is stored under the truck without pinching some wires or letting some air out or something so it seems putting a REAL FULL SIZED...
  7. Eibach Lowering Springs Kit for Maverick, Finally Installed!

    Don't forget outrageous taxes...sorry Mr. Mayor, couldn't resist😉.
  8. Eibach Lowering Springs Kit for Maverick, Finally Installed!

You my friend are no truck person... Driving the family sedan 😂. Serious now, have to ask...does lowering a pickup improve mileage?
  9. Issues / problems with the hood release mechanism?

The handle for the hood release is weak to say the least. I make sure to grab the handle as close to the pivot point as possible so as to reduce the stress put on the handle itself because I don't want the handle to snap off on the future. I do the same for the glove box handle which is...
  10. Insane mileage for 2.0l EcoBoost and other thoughts

I would not under any circumstance tow in any mode other than TOW. The rpms run way too low and imo you risk damaging the transmission. It's not worth saving a few bucks and risking burning up a trans even if it's under warranty🧐
  11. My dealer says they have adequate allocations

As of 8/8/22, my dealer said they received 30-40 total 2022 Mavericks. And they were the biggest dealership in the USA a couple years ago. And for months they only had 1-3 Mavericks in their online inventory at any given time. Early on in November of 2021, they were getting in about 9...
  12. To moonroof or not to moonroof. That is the question

I've always had moonroofs (Mr) up to two cars ago. I skipped those because every time my wife's in the car she complained that it messes up her hair so I always had to leave the roof closed. I missed the mr so I ordered a Mr with the Mav and open it every time my wife's not in the car and...
  13. How many of you ordered a Maverick without even test driving it?

Same here, but ordered from largest dealer in USA thinking they'd have more allocations, without taking into account they'd have more orders too! But it worked out and I received mine on 8-8-22 (ordered on 11-17-21). So far really love the EB (and I never have used that word loosely!)👍
  14. Chapman Horsham- Email just received- only 11 allocations!

Seems the chart would be accurate is there's a significant railroad strike in the near future.🤔
  15. Consumer Reports 2022 Maverick Hybrid Review & Ranking [September Issue]

All "trucks" are scored pretty low by CR Cr has pretty much always rated all trucks with full frames low so a 76 is really high for the Maverick. They seem to use reliability predictions mostly for their list of "Recommended" models. However, if a vehicle scores too low overall, they won't...
  16. Consumer Reports 2022 Maverick Hybrid Review & Ranking [September Issue]

Yeah...I figured the noise was normal "engine sounds"😉. I've been thinking about getting an engine cover (heard the escape cover works and I have the threaded brass fittings to bolt it down to) to quite it down a bit, but most likely won't since the noise is not that problematic to my ears.
  17. Consumer Reports 2022 Maverick Hybrid Review & Ranking [September Issue]

I've got the fx4 package and the tires seem louder/rougher than my passenger car tires, but i don't recall any engine vibrations really. The engine makes a lot of low sounding "racket" which is more noticable when first starting off since there's less 'road noise" to drown it out. I guess...
  18. Dealer hijacked my order?

My sales person back in November said I'd get an email soon after ordering from Ford, and I called the Ford marketing dept several times over several months and verified my email and was told repeatedly I'd receive emails from Ford, but I did not receive 1 email from Ford ever! And no they were...
  19. Am I The Only One Who Hates Cruise Control?

I don't like hitting the +/- cause it often causes my Camry to downshift abruptly and I'm a mizer with mileage😉. Have not used the cruise on the Mav much to-date. And is the 9 and 4 universal or what😂?
  20. Am I The Only One Who Hates Cruise Control?

I don't like it!! But only when there's too much highway traffic which causes me to tap the brakes constantly or makes me turn the cruise off and on😉. I did notice the Mav cruise works at 25 mph which is kinda nice when I'm driving down a long residential street by schools where police like to...
