Hang in there. I got mine first - about a year ago, then my brother - around mid-year, then my Dad - early this year. It's not like we were all just geeking out on them, but they are very practical well-priced vehicles.
WSS-M1C961-A1 appears to be a Ford specification (the most current version is from August 4, 2022 according to GlobalSpec) that calls for the oil used to meet the ILSAC-GF6 specification. Additionally, the manual calls for it to display the API Certification Mark for gasoline engines. The...
Apparently AutoNation has to pay way more for their parts because I stopped by my local AN Ford parts department to see about ordering it. They said they could get it in a week or so and it would be $64. I said no thanks. Another dealer in a nearby town ordered it for me for $26 (I used my...
Just curious... It seems that a lot of people on here don't care for the original Continental tires. Are there any particular reasons? I realize they are not for performance nor off-roading, so if you are doing those things they probably aren't for you. I have about 15,000 miles of basic every...
As a bonus, when the dealer cut the holes in the cover for the fire hazard recall, they cut out a spot right below the oil drain port. Now I just connect a drain tube to my Fumoto valve and drain the oil. Then I remove the front eight or ten T27 screws and lower the front of the cover enough to...
This is the setup you'll get with the F137N and ADP-137. They fit and work well on the Hybrid 2.5L engine. The other options are different types of valves that should work as well. These work great for me.
The adapter is needed either way. You can use either valve - the F137N has an extended nipple to allow for the easy attachment of a drain tube. The length does not appear to be a factor as the installation is nearly horizontal. It won't be a make or break deal with either configuration. I...
The drain valve is the F137N and the adapter is the ADP-137. You will need the adapter because of the way the oil pan is shaped around the drain opening.
It usually cost me around $30 USD to perform a oil change on my Maverick using a Motorcraft filter and name brand oil (I buy extra when it is on sale). I like doing it myself so I know it is done right. And, with the Fumoto oil drain valve installed, it is a very simple process.
I received one of those responses from @Ford Motor Company and never heard another word from anyone with FoMoCo. Things worked out in my case but only because I was persistent and directed the service techs to the information about the issue.
I have the tailgate assist strut. It is nice if you have other things in your hand to just open the tailgate and let go of it. It will then slowly open without slamming down.
