The market is still really hot for hybrids. I would probably go ahead and purchase the second hybrid. I would sell mine for a nice profit if there was anything else on the market that could replace it. But since you have the truck you want that makes the decision much easier. If you have the VIN...
Depends on a few different factors but you will save a lot at the pump for sure. If you're not towing heavy trailers regularly, a hybrid should do everything you need in a truck. Otherwise if your truck is older with a boat load of miles might be worth hanging on to it for towing. Its value...
Shhhh, if word gets out you can do some mild offroading in a hybrid everybody will want one. Supplies will dwindle and prices will soar through the roof.......nevermind too late.
Glad to hear from someone in Memphis who has a hybrid! Sounds like you're putting it to good use as an Uber. Seems like a great vehicle for that kind of use. The comment about leaving the scene of an accident is unfortunately a reality here. If it happened in a sketchy area (about 80% of...
I bought my Maverick at Homer Skelton Ford, Olive Branch MS. Great experience (other than the wait) They honored price protection from 2021 order. $500 doc fee was the only add on. Good honest people working there.
I found these at Costco for about $35. Charcoal/gray color matches my XL interior fairly well. Sort of a neoprene type material that's confortable and stain resitant. Highly recommend if you don't want to spend a lot, should hold up for a few years.
My XL didn't come with one but I'm seriously thinking about getting it to store my trailer hitch, ratchet straps, and possibly my little air compressor if will fit. Probably have to remove the divider/false floor to get the hitch in there. This will just help free up some storage under the back...
Right, that's where I found the 300A fuse on the charging circuit. I wouldn't recommend putting a 1500W continuous load on an inverter, but for light loads with some surge current to get going like a mini fridge should be fine. The 400W factory inverter is very limited by the tiny 12V wiring and...
I've seen the factory schematics showing a 300 amp fuse on the charging output of the DC to DC converter. That's very robust so I don't see any problem running a 1000 W inverter. With inverter losses and all I don't believe it will pull anywhere near the max. Volts x Amps = Watts, so 12 VDC x 83...
I bought this one on Amazon. Fits perfectly on the bracket behind the rear seat with some 2 inch velcro and heavy zip ties. I ran the DC cables under the seat and directly to the battery. I had made some heavier cables than the ones that come with the inverter to reduce as much DC resistance...
I mounted a 1500 watt inverter behind the back seat. I think the bracket behind there is for the upgraded sound system I don't have, but it's a perfect location for my inverter. Very short run for the cables to the 12 volt battery under the seat.
I posted this on another thread but you can make your cover fit much better if you drill out the rivets and remove the front brackets. They stick out too far, design flaw.
I finally got my Maverick and bought a hard tonneau cover on Ebay ($430 then then they offered $409) I discovered why some...
I finally got my Maverick and bought a hard tonneau cover on Ebay ($430 then then they offered $409) I discovered why some covers fit well and some extend too far at the tailgate. The tie down brackets at the front at the rear window were sticking out too far and would not allow the cover to fit...
Lol, and satisfy the "need for speed" for the 20 year old side of me. I think the Maverick gets better gas mileage than my bike which is crazy. Keep two wheels down my friend! (y)
Ok, I've decided to buy a dealership and now I can drive a different car or truck everyday! Seriously though, we've been living in an era where owning multiple vehicles makes a lot of sense. Having a big vehicle to tow, haul, carry people, and for long trips is hard to replace. Also having a...
I was thinking the same thing about the fit at the tailgate. Looks like all these Chinese hard covers on Amazon and Ebay are manufactured by the same company regardless of the "brand name". All the pictures look identical. I'm planning to put one of these on my truck when it arrives. Can't beat...
Good to see Virginia cares about the condition of the vehicles on the road. Keeps everyone safer. I've seen so many vehicles here that have been completely totaled (T boned, front end, rear end, no headlights, no tail lights, no tags) running around. I never see them get pulled over. While some...
My 2023 XL hybrid rollover w/hitch and full spare only has a VIN of A1029X scheduled 12/19. Not quite the highest, but close to it. I've been reading all the production post I can find over the past year+ trying to decifer the Da vinci code of when I might roughly expect my mav to be built...
