They can! Wiring it up this way to the BCM and using the F150 switch, the truck acts just as if you had all factory wiring and lights setup. You can use Forscan to enable BAMBI mode to run the high beams and fog lights at the same time too. Highly recommend installing this way if considering it.

I’m a software engineer by trade so it’s been fun to get this kind of data and tinker with things. I did the fog light mod with the F150 hybrid light switch and used Forscan to control the fog lights through the BCM. Love the functionality and then started digging into the world of DTCs.

This happened to me on a 22 Hybrid built in Feb 22 as well. Same leak in the same location, was without it for 2 weeks this past March while the timing cover was removed and re-sealed. I had about 13k miles at the time - hoping it doesn’t return but I’m a bit skeptical.
