I was good again for a whole week, and then knocked offline yesterday. I’m glad I’m not alone but I wish Ford would acknowledge that there is an issue.
You can also adjust the brightness of the display as well as set it to night mode.
The button turns off the large center display. It does not turn off the instrumentation display, which is necessary because it indicates your speed, etc.
Uh... the screen definitely has an off button. Graphic on it looks like [ - ] and it's located dead centre in the button panel in the middle of the dash console.
I'm hoping to hide the cable permanently by running it inside things, not under the mats.
I know I can route inside the channel along the passenger side along the bottom of the doors and behind the glove box, but it involves a lot of trim. Would be interested in knowing if there is an easy...
I'm installing a transceiver unit on the unused amp mount behind the rear seat in my 25 Hybrid. It requires a control head that will be mounted in the cubby behind the carplay display. The two are connected by a Cat-6 cable. What's the best route to take to get a cable between those two locations?
There are a couple of different way. Most of these light strips are trimmable. Even the ones in silicone tubes have an end cap that can be popped off and reinserted after shortening.
If for whatever reason you can't shorten your tape, the opening at the tail end of the bed rail leads to a...
I think that your post just forced me to mentally work through what is needed... four resistors, because there are actually two filament circuits (turn/brake) on each side.
Forscan it is!
Join the club. Mine started working again last night after three days offline. Let's see how long it lasts.
Someone posted on reddit yesterday that they've been able to force the truck to reconnect by disconnecting the 12V battery for a minute. Definitely something that we shouldn't be doing...
I want to switch the four tail turn/brake lights to LED.
I know Lasfit has issues, so I’ve been looking at Diode Dynamics. I’ll need load resistors. I don’t want to disable circuit monitoring with Forscan.
Given that each side is a pair of lamps, are those lamps in parallel with each other...
1) No
2) AGM is standard in the 2025
Dome lights never have a problem, and with this FordPass issue the vehicle also stops updating locations when driving and at charge voltage. It’s not an under voltage issue; the cellular modem seems to drop off the cell network entirely.
This has been a huge issue for me. It's currently the absolute coldest part of the winter and the truck is totally offline for days at a time.
No GPS tracking, no remote start, and no remote lock... and no acknowledgement from Ford that something is affecting the 2025s.
For now, I've installed a wireless charging mat in the console. One of these trimmable aliexpress pads works great: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007225701400.html
I'm waiting for the Bulletpoint Rubigrid to come out so that I can mount the control head for my VHF radio. I emailed them...
