I agree. My '23 XLT Hybrid is great so far. I have had it one year and two weeks and have averaged 44mpg. The worst mileage I've had was a 1010mile round trip on I-75 at 75mph- I got 35mpg (the same as towing a 900lb trailer with a 1,000lb bush hog on it.).
That's a great idea! I have to build something like that to haul a 40' aluminum extension ladder. That would stabilize the thing (20' long when collapsed), or help to. I was going to stick a bike rack in the hitch and under-hood front cargo straps (I sure envy the ones built in on the Bronco)...
You experience is very similar to my own with my '23 XLT Hybrid. I am getting 44mpg on my 80 mile round trip commute in the mountains. When I hauled 1800 pounds of lumber I got 37mpg. When I towed farm implements (a plow, 4' bush hog, etc.) on a trailer I got 31mpg. When I made a 1010 mile round...
Snoop and Ozark, you each make great points. I am more concerned with "spares". It was hard for me to get parts for my Volt even before GM stopped production. It's one reason why I didn't consider another Chevy. I'm hoping that won't be the case with Ford.
Greetings!
After waiting 18 months (and having my 2022 order converted to a 2023) I took delivery of my 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid April 29, 2023. I thought I would share my impressions of the first year. I am 68 and had never purchased a new vehicle before. I was especially nervous about...
My '23 XLT Hybrid has also been trouble-free so far. The odometer just rolled over 20K. I am averaging 42mpg in the mountains commuting 39 miles each way. I think I was "trained" how to drive my Mav to maximize mpg by my previous daily-driver- a 2014 Chevy Volt PHEV. I try to never exceed 20%...
I use mine to haul gravel and tow a trailer. I've even loaded it with 1700 pounds of lumber. It's no minivan, it's a truck. I replaced my '02 Dodge Ram and my '07 Tacoma with the Maverick. It's a truck.
I have owned my '23 Mav XLT Hybrid for 11 months and 1 week. I sold my 2002 Dodge Quad Cab 4x4 (which I loved) and am selling my 2007 Tacoma 4-door 4x4 asap. I always wanted a Ridgeline, but I wanted a hybrid. I waited 20 years to get one, but it was made by Ford. I'm almost 68 years old and I...
Luckily, my other car is a Chevy Volt (PHEV) so I am not trained to drive "EV Style". I use cruise control, stay under 60mph and don't accelerate more than 20% (usually). The dashboard guestamater usually says I'm getting 44mpg, but when I do the math it's about 41mpg. However, yesterday with...
I commute 39 miles each way in the NC mountains. The road is a 4-lane with a 55mpg speed limit. I drive 59mph except for a 4 mile stretch climbing one mountain, then a 3 mile decent. The return trip is 3 then 4. The guess-o-meter says I am getting42mpg, but a calculator and my gas receipts say...
I know, it seems overly cautious and indicates a possible level of distrust maybe. The thing is- who knows? I teach Security Awareness. There is really no limit to what "bad actors" can use to steal from you. It's even worse now that they are using AI to scan photos. It's one reason the Social...
I've only had my hybrid XLT since last April. Your data looks very much like mine, except my average speed (in mountains) is 59mph on a 4-lane commuting 39 miles each way. I also drive about 20K per year. I am averaging 42mpg so far measured (not by the guess-o-meter on the dashboard). In my...
I've had my '23 XLT Hybrid since last April. I average 44mpg in spring and fall and 41mpg in the winter. That's better than 17mpg in my Tacoma. I too drive about 20K per year, but in mountains (WNC). If the Mav had a bigger battery, I am sure my mpg would be better, but I do not regret at all...
