Canton, Ohio here. No Maverick yet. Ordered at Liberty Ford here in Canton RIGHT when the order banks opened and orders could be put in. I've reached out about 2 months ago about allocations/where I'm at and have been ghosted completely. I've pretty much lost all hope for getting one this...
People are crazy, and I'd never pay over MSRP. The reason I'm buying a Maverick is because it's cheap. I'm putting a large amount as a down payment to keep that monthly payment down. Depending on how much time I have between now and delivery, I may be able to buy it outright.
Is this a sign that I should consider something bigger? I've been looking at F-150's and Silverado's because I've been worried about this exact thing with passengers being comfortable on trips.
If I don't get a Maverick by the end of this year, I'm going to get the Colorado. The one I priced out is only ~5K more than my Maverick order and it's obviously more truck too. I checked out the Frontier at the Cleveland Auto Show and it looked like another good alternative too.
My friends dad works in East Palastine, Ohio and sent me this as a result of the derailment. I have some bad news for a few new Maverick owners that will have a longer wait now...
Alto Blue Lariat Hybrid: Ordered on 9/15/22, in the system on that date at 18:28 (not long after the systems were accepting orders). No word aside from the "Yay! Your order is in!" email and 2x 45 day emails.
Ohio has a $200 EV fee. I know this because I have a Chevy Bolt EUV. I don't really agree with our $100 hybrid fee since the cars still use quite a bit of fuel.
Mine took just over a day to come through. Ordered on Thursday at 4pm right when the banks opened (and also crashed haha), and after I was sent the order form to sign and sent it back in the PM on Friday, it wasn't until a day later that I got the confirmation email.
