I worked for tier 1 suppliers for Ford both union and non union. Most suppliers under contract with Ford are expected to supply the parts cheaper over the life of the contract, while Ford has the luxury...
I see this is your first Hybrid, I'm in the same boat.I think the break in period is more important with the Hybrid than the EB ,since it is more complex .When you think about it the computer chooses when to run electric or Ice or both depending on ICE engine temperature , avaliable charge on...
It's not so much the speed , it's bad to run at a constant speed for a long trip during the break in period. Thats probably why the mpg is not as good as it should be.
I just finished my 1k break-in , I plan on keeping my Maverick a long time so it makes sense , if for no other reason than the computer needs to have enough data collected to make adjustments to the truck, not to mention the mechanical parts that need to wear in. My Maverick only had 18 miles...
I was on the fence about either using Miracle Shield or use one of the lanolin based coatings that must be applied yearly . While doing a Brake Job on my wifes 2019 Escape which was rust proofed by Miracle Shield, I noticed some rust on some of the mounting hardware for the brakes and shocks...
What is the Standard 42mpg city , 33mpg highway,37mpg combined ? I just finished my 1k breakin miles and have far exceeded the EPA estimates on the Window sticker. All my driving has been in standard mode and I have not used cruise control during the breakin period . I have driven about 50%...
Every thing exclusive to the hybrid is covered for 8 years or 100k miles, if I remember right. I had this talk at my Dealership , the exhaust heat exchanger, ECVt, High voltage Battery, Electric water pump are all exclusive to the hybrid among other things, according to the factory warranty.
It costs about $400 and they do a free inspection once a year for the next 5 years , anything found during the inspection is touched up or repaired for free. After 5 years the inspection cost is $80 and touch up and repairs are still free. They have a life time warranty but you have to make...
Hello from Ohio , I don't have an Amateur Radio License but I do have a 2nd Class Radio Telephone license , that I have not used in thirty years, I used to repair , tune and install Mobile Radios and Mobile Phones ,before Cell Phones made most of those obsolete. I was just curious about your...
I'm suprised we don't see more Cactus Grey Mavericks in Ohio , with so many OSU fans. All you would need is a Brutus Buckeye decal on it , just saying.
I am also in the Ohio Truck Club and Wolverine reminded of that team up north, but a Michigan fan would never own cactus grey Maverick . I didn't buy a cactus grey maverick because of Ohio State but now when I look at my Maverick I see Scarlet and Grey.
My dealer Emailed me ,asking if I was still interested in buying a Maverick and they had one avaliable , even though I just purchased one from them. Must be some kind of mistake. I just thought it was strange that I never recieved an email like this in the 10 months I waited for the Maverick I...
I saw your post nice lariat. The only mod I made to my Maverick are a couple decals on my rear window , these were given to me from my daughter. When I ordered my Maverick she said I'd have a better chance seeing Big Foot than seeing a Maverick. So instead of posting a photo I just changed my...
The last two trucks were Oxford White, the Cactus Grey is a nice change of pace , it's one of those colors that seem to change according to the light .

I traded in my 2011 Ranger Xlt Super Cab for my Maverick Xlt hybrid, they are very close in overall size. I gained rear seats instead of the two jump seats that were in the Ranger but lost a foot and a half of bed length . When driving the Maverick it feels larger to me ...
