  1. What will you name your Maverick

I have two trucks--I creatively named one "The F150" and the other "The Maverick".
  2. Just realized I was using the wrong motor oil grade (EcoBoost).

I did something similar--I filled with 5w-30 (ecoboost) instead of 0w-20 (hybrid). I left the oil in and changed to the proper recommended viscosity after 7500 miles. During that time, the engine didn't explode and I'm sure didn't wear prematurely.
  3. Hybrid Recalls - Should I Proceed?

No updates done and no issues. Unless I'm having problems, I'm not getting updates. Better fuel mileage is due to summer blend at the pumps and warmer weather. I recently started getting better mpg too.
  4. 2000 Watt Removable Inverter Installation

I'm looking forward to your new thread. Thanks for the detailed write up of your current solar panel mounting setup.
  5. 2000 Watt Removable Inverter Installation

Can you provide some more details on the installation of your solar tonneau cover. I'm looking to charge my Scamp trailer's LifePo4 batteries and prefer not to mount panels on the roof of the camper.

  7. Trick question...

Extra 3.0 miles, extra 54 minutes and 53 seconds, extra 6 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm not exactly sure what we're supposed to be looking at either.
  8. 2024 Hybrids

Your 1/4 mile analogy is equivalent to being pushed, or having a rolling 100mph start, before beginning to estimate your mpg and failing to disclose it. If I put 1 gallon of fuel in the tank and I'm able to go 42 miles, then my calculated mpg is 42. This assumes: starting from a standstill, on...
  9. 2024 Hybrids

If you add 50 towed miles, you would also have to add the gas used by the towing vehicle for those 50 miles. Unless the towing vehicle and Maverick (hitched together) get better mpg than the Maverick by itself, you will get lower F/E.
  10. Miles on truck at delivery

Received with 18 miles on the odometer and a FULL tank of gas (dealer said vehicle arrived from the factory with the gas gauge almost on empty, so they drove to fill the tank).
  11. T-Bone accident at red light. Can it be fixed if so how much?

You are claiming: Maverick had a green arrow and other driver had a red light, so Maverick had the right of way to cross the oncoming lane (to make the left turn) and the other driver ran the red light. Other driver is claiming: both vehicles had a green light, but Maverick failed to yield and...
  12. 2023 MY Price Protection

I ordered a hybrid XLT in Sept 2022 and when my truck arrived in Aug 2023, I paid the price I was quoted in Sept 2022. In my case, I paid $1495 less than window sticker--price protection was $995 ($400 base, $100 delivery, $495 cyber orange) and $500 for farm bureau discount.
  13. Western NY Hopefull but skeptical

Ordered from Basil Ford of Niagara Falls on Sept 19, 2022, picked up Hybrid XLT lux on August 28, 2023--it took almost 11-1/2 months and very few Ford status emails were received during that time. Vehicle arrived exactly as ordered and no pricing shenanigans at pickup. Be patient, as long as...
