After my 2022 Maverick order was never built and my dealer failed to order a 2023 for me, I did check into the Santa Cruz a few times, but only because they're the only direct competitor in terms of size to the Maverick. RAM sells a compact pickup in Mexico, but not in the US.
Even if I could...
Some of us whose 2022 orders were canceled with no 2023 order placed by the dealer after waiting NINE MONTHS might tell you it's NOT an advantage.
There were no 22 to 23 rollovers in reality. A new 2023 order had to be placed by the dealer if the 2022 wasn't scheduled. An actual rollover of...
There is no truck to wait on. The 2022 order was never built, and they never ordered a 2023 to replace the 2022 order.
To add to the insult, once I realized I was never going to get my order, I contacted three other Ford dealers who showed Mavericks in stock. One of those dealers called me the...
I wonder if they interviewed any of the people who
1. placed an order for a Maverick EB XLT in January 2022,
2. waited on it for 8 months,
3. reminded the dealer in September that 2022 orders HAD to be converted to 2023 orders during the SINGLE WEEK Ford corporate allowed it to happen,
4. was...
But they still won't go back and make things right for us who got shafted by the combined incompetence of Ford and a dealer who insisted my 2022 was still going to be built in November 2022 and refused to order a 2023 to replace it.
Typical Ford issuing an update to an order guide for a vehicle they won't allow you to order.
Just when I think they can't do anything dumber than they already have, they do this.
I bought a 2019 Colorado a couple of weeks ago with 18,000 miles on it. It's larger than what I wanted and rear-wheel drive. The same dealer had a Maverick, but they were asking $14,000 more for it than the Colorado. Another local lot has a Maverick that has been totaled out and rebuilt. They're...
The fact that you can miss something despite being on top of everything to the extent you are just proves how royally Ford has made a mess of the whole process. They've made it too complicated for customers and too complicated for dealers, then when the dealer makes a mistake, an order place 10...
If you want your truck, you should bother your dealer...or risk ending up like me with my 2022 order "balanced out" and no 2023 order ever entered to replace it.
Trust me on this....
You can do absolutely everything within your power as far as telling your dealer what needs to be done, get ZERO notification from Ford Corporate, and your 2022 order can still be canceled without a 2023 order being entered to replace it.
I bought a 2019 Chevy Colorado WT today with 18,050 miles on it for $14,000 less than a used/flipped Maverick Lariat on the same lot.
I'm not sure what bells and whistles were on the Lariat, but the Colorado I bought included a hard tri-fold tonneau cover, body color grill, Work Truck...
They could have sold one more if they hadn't "balanced out" my January 7, 2022 order without my consent (or even bothering to inform me).
@Ford Motor Company continues to fail to respond to a case created on October 28...supposed to have received a phone call from a supervisor on October 31...
My dealer has decided to die on the "I've never seen a Priority 01 not get built in the 30 years I've been a salesman for Ford" hill.
I called my dealer during the week the order banks were open in September and was assured it would be converted to a 2023 order, but then on Thursday of that...
My dealer told me I was still getting a 2022 just last week.
Ford Customer Service tells a much darker tale.
Now my dealer won't even reply to an email.
Oh, McDonald's gets it wrong plenty...but if you go there 20 times, you might get it right 6-7 times.
Ford, meanwhile, has got the same order wrong several times on several different levels. At least when I go to McDonald's I have a sandwich when the transaction is done...can't say the same...
