Your dealer is waiting for the confirmation which may not come for another week or 2 because Ford maually confirms them and it takes a long time because there were so many orders...

As others have said, you get a build week with your vin number. These dates are made to be broken. You eventually get a build date which is still iffy because your Mav may be in production which can last 2 weeks or maybe more. Then it may sit and wait for the train to take it away. That doesn't...

If they can't build the 22's with vins, then the 23's are doomed. I suppose it is possible. I know it's happened with some nicer Mustangs last year. Just seems like they would keep it in the system until it's built. to roll into 23's and cancel 22's with vins just doesn't make sense to me.

Once the vin has been released, it will be built as a 22. There is some solice in that.

2 streams of thought. 1. They don't want people holding on for months only to be told there is no way it's going to happen. 2. They tell you they are cancelling when they hope it might come in and they could re-sell it. If there are other reasons, I don't know what they would be.

Yes, they advertised on their website that there are no mark ups on special orders. It use to be right on the top of their homepage, but it is still there, just not as prominant.

Some dealers are really nice about giving you proof of approval, others not so much. Hope you have the first one. Its just one less thing to not know.
