That would be my fear also. I know some dealers would do it as they were instructed by Ford. Others would try to do whatever they wanted. With the covp orders in place, it sure seems like Ford could prioritize the orders themselves. I agree, many dealers can not be trusted on their own accord.
Tueday night Tim Bartz stated that Ford was testing the plan for priority 8 on 23 orders rolling over to 24 orders. They are definitely considering it and may have already decided to do it. I have no idea what "testing" means. We all can take a guess, but it looks promising that it will happen...
I am a resident of San Bernardino. I recognize what looks like University Avenue or perhaps Northpark Blvd. I heard about you from a guy at work who knew I also have a Maverick ecoboost. I got mine at Fairview last October after a 9 month wait. So sorry for your experience. I hope it all goes...
I think my wife has made one small scratch with her purse in 6 months of owning. She tries really hard to be careful. She doesn't really want to drive it because she knows how hard I try to keep it dent and scratch free. She doesn't want to be the first to get a ding, I usually park in very...
I got my xlt in late October and do get asked about it every couple of weeks. My favorite was when I was parked at an oudoor mall. We were eating close by and could see a guy circling around it slowly. Before he walked away he nodded gave the truck a thumbs up to himself. I think he probably had...
I got what you were trying to say.The market for anything can be high or low. It doesn't have a heart or a personality and is all based on supply and demand, period. I took a bath in the stock market years ago. No ones fault but my own. Weird how someone could be emotional about that. It is what...
It takes about a week or maybe 2 before they actually begin to build it. Then it moves to the staging area to be shipped and that can take a week to happen. Then the time it takes to get to your delivery yard. Then you have to wait until a car hauler brings it to your dealer. I went through the...
I just wasn't sure what would happen when it comes across the border and is picked up by a U.S. carrier. In fact, I do remember the Ford rep saying she wasn't sure if the number would stay the same after it was picked up by Union Pacific or CSX. I have no idea how the car carriers get back to...
It's been 3 months ago, but I was given the rail car number by Ford marketing over the phone. I do agree with an earlier poster that some people who answer the phone are much more helpful than others. My rail car number stayed the same all the way from Mexico to a town near me at a delivery rail...
Probably the best for you. I like my eco but don't get the mileage that many are saying. I get 29 on the freeway and 22 around town. I always drive in eco mode and am not driving it hard. Having said that, I have a 23 hybrid order and we will see about values when that time comes.
Yep, I never talk trade until a price has been agreed upon and already have my best loan rate in hand. The manager was upset with my salesman for not knowing I had a trade in. I told them they could match my Car Max offer or I would would just sell it to them. They matched it and made my life a...
When I was tracking mine I talked with Ford customer service and they gave me the car number that started out in Mexico. The car number stayed the same when it was turned over after it crossed the border. I don't know if that's always the case, but it was with mine.
I didn't cover all the pages when assesing costs. I get 29 hiway with my eco. If both vehicles cost the same or close, in 4 years I would think the hybrid resale would be quite a bit higher. For most of us, that has to figure in. It's just another reason it is hard to really compare. It truly...
I waited 9 months for my 22 XLT eco. I ordered a 23 hybrid XL, on 9/16. My hope was to be able to sell my eco for the price I paid for it, if and when my 23 order is fulfilled. I have serious doubts that it will be possible to get what I paid for my eco to make it an easy decision..... So, plan...
I live in San Bernardino, so It seemed like it took about a week to get shipped after it was built and about 3 or 4 days to get to the main yard in Mira Loma and about 3 more days to the dealer. Once it's shipped , you should have it in about 2 weeks. I bought mine at Fairview Ford in San...
Do you mean a stock dealer Maverick or an order. If you wait 6 months , I think there will be stock ecos that might go for MSRP. There will definitely be low mieage used ecos at lower prices than now. Ford is making lots of ecos that are not on order. So, unless Ford offers orders of hybrids an...
