  1. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

I will still keep an out for a smaller USB form mount. This was a std switch size and still too big. It does have both USB-C and USB-A with PD, so it fits my needs. I'd be OK with a small extension mount for just USB-C in the tray and this or another charger double side taped to the empty cubby...
  2. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

Yup. Dropped the 18AWG straight down to the fuse box, gave it some extra in case I need some flex to remove the top tray again, but otherwise tied it all up and did a fuse tap on Fuse 3 (for mine, just the auto-dimming mirror).
  3. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

@Mavreezy Here’s how I ended up doing the USB charger up top. My bracing was in the way too - once I took the top off, I had to think of other ways. I trimmed the cosmetic edges of the charger and it still wouldn’t fit, so it became a surface mount inside the tray. Lol It'll totally fit...
  4. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

My phone mount is similar to yours. I swapped the included mag mount for an ESR MagSafe charger. Wireless charging and it’s a very strong magnet. That’s why I’m thinking the sideways mount inside the tray should work. It’s only 1” wide (tall when sideways) https://a.co/d/1YrxUr7
  5. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

Mine showed up yesterday. I opened the package... but don't have a morning/afternoon to dedicate for a week or so. Aiming for next Sat. It was packed very well. The ACIM was wrapped in a million (maybe 2?) layers of bubble wrap - that's the unit that says to trash it if dropped. The wiring...
  6. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

Ordered my kit yesterday. Going to add a USB charger to the inside of the top cubby (I have a similar phone mount tray in mine already as well). This should reduce the cables going up/down. This should fit nicely and the back portion will go in the empty space that the side cubby currently is...
  7. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

Ordered my kit yesterday. Going to also add a USB-C charger in the upper tray to reduce the cables going up/down since it will be Wireless Carplay.
  8. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

So, confirmed no Lux package. It is the 2022 Lariat with Sync3. Is this the right package as I don't have the Lux, I wasn't sure (it's the only one labeled Lariat): https://oemplusupgrades.com/products/2022-2024-maverick-sync-3-to-4-upgrade-w-12-display
  9. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

Ah. Thanks. No Lux here. Now... to convince the wife that I "need it"
  10. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

@breeves02 I have the 2022 Lariat, how do I determine if I have the 'Lux' package? I am thinking I should do this in phases to keep the initial costs under the radar of the wife. First do Sync 4 (https://oemplusupgrades.com/products/2022-2024-maverick-sync-3-to-4-upgrade). then the big screen...
  11. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

yeah. I am hopeful that the replacement ACM in the kit will address it. I have read about the cable harness issue as well. I was using wireless Carplay adapters, so having it native will hopefully mean I won't need them if they don't work and I'll just wire up some USB-C high power ones in their...
  12. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

As the Sync4 enables wireless carplay... if I get the 12" kit for my '22 Lariat, I would bypass the need to use the USB ports for carplay? My truck just went out of warranty and was waiting for the warranty to go so I could do the big screen swap... and my USB ports for carplay died yesterday...
