Ford stopped making the original front-end 8 months ago. Buyers dont have much of a choice on 2024's. They also now can get all wheel drive on the hybrid, which is a big selling point. So they can live with the ugly front end.
Just to be safe wear a helmet with a HANS device. I hope NHTSA doesn't get any ideas from this post but I wouldn't be surprised. More people die from sugar than airbagless autos still on the road.
According to Cox Automotive wholesale prices for used cars jump to the highest levels since October 2023. They blame the tariffs making new cars less affordable so the demand for used is expected to rise and the prices at auctions reflect that.
So far I am very happy with my 2024 Mav purchase. I have only owned it for 4 months and driven it 2300 miles. Still waiting for my first recall. The cheap plastic I have read so much about does not seem to be any cheaper to me than my 2007 Mustang or my 2015 Transit.
I could not agree more! I whipped out some dental floss and sliced my hybrid badge off. It is now in the landfill resting in peace. Who I voted for and whether or not I drive a hybrid I keep to myself unless I decide to tell you.
The name. Who's dumb idea was it to bring back a name of a muscle car from the '70's and stick it on a small pickup. Why not a name of a small pickup from the '70's and '80's that millions of people owned and have fond memories of: Courier! Nobody in marketing thought of that?
Please Explain to me, anyone, why Hybrids don't have turbos since the #1 reason people buy a hybrid is for better MPG. And there seems to be a group of turbo fans arguing turbo IC's engines are more efficient. Ford should have put the 1.0 EcoBoost in the hybrid Mav Right? Educate me.
There is so much misinformation out there about turbo engines. People think they get better MPG than the SAME engine without a turbo. Nope. When you pump more air into the combustion chamber you have to inject more fuel too. More fuel = less MPG. The auto manufacturers clearly market small turbo...
Guess we all need to get ALL lithium-ion batteries out of our house....just to be safe.

Thanks for that information. I had no clue. First vehicle I owned with a fob. Seems to be a lot of stuff that does not add to my driving satisfaction but does add to my driving distractions.
Keeping my key fob in the Mav puts an extra drain on my battery? Just recently my dome lights have not been coming on. Had it at the dealer 2 weeks ago they told me battery was fine but the BMS connecter had come loose. Everything was fine till 3 days ago, back with no domes.
Like a lot of members here I am shocked the dipstick wasn't pulled. My oil change shop just before they hand me the bill the tech pulls the dipstick, looks at it, calls another tech over to look at it to confirm, and then shows it to me! The biggest mistake made at oil change shops is...
I now have my first issue. I am getting a "charging system-service soon" message on the dash. Dome lights failed to come on this past Sunday morning. Voltage on the battery was too low. Disconnected the battery and charged it. After fully charged my voltmeter showed the battery voltage dropping...
