Thanks. I actually plan to do that soon. I'm at 650 miles now. On all my new car/truck I always get my oil changed at 1000 miles no matter what. Peace of mind I suppose.
Thank you.
As an aside, there is a used Maverick XL AWD 2.0 ecoboost carbonized gray in their lot.
Listed at $28,995 which is a couple hundred dollars less than mine. It's a crazy used car market out there folks.
I called. They said they would not release newly delivered Mavericks until the fix is in, that instruction coming from Ford and not the dealership. I'm really bummed. I have a trip planned to get together with my brother and a few friends doing some spring camping in the Canadian rockies.
I'll call back tomorrow. Checked the vin on the link above and yes, it is affected.
Initial conversation I had with the sales mgr. (aka the salesman) he said the service manager would not release the vehicle to the sales dept. until the recall is fixed.
Stay tuned.
edit: mine was built in...
Maverick just got delivered today (April 6, 2022)
Salesman says it went thru PDI but it's on hold due to a recall. He said Ford hasn't released the fix yet. I'm bummed.
Mine has been built and shipped but still no word on where it is. Called the dealer and they said it was on hold and yet they also see the shipped status.
What's going on?
I received the same email the other day. I thought to myself, my truck is already built and is being shipped, why am I getting this email now? I called my dealer and they assured me that my Maverick is already built and shipped. Now all that needs to happen is wait for it to arrive. Fingers crossed.
Nice! same color as what I ordered.
Looking forward to seeing you around B'ham. If you see a dude waving at you in a black benz or black CR-V don't think of me as weird. :)
