  5. The Mav and a Capitol Reef Adventure

Last year we hit multiple national parks on a cross country trip with our two Goldens and our Mav. It's the perfect National Parks vehicle!
  6. Maverick envy from a Santa Cruz owner

By now most of you experience what I do when I'm running errands with my Mav. More often than not, someone in the parking lot will say "Hey, can I talk to you about your Maverick?" People just can't get enough of it. Today, a lady flagged me down. She pointed to her Santa Cruz and said she...
  7. ⚠️ Recall 23S27 & Delivery Hold on 2.5L Maverick Hybrids for Under Hood Fire (Notice Date 5/31/23)

The dealers are awaiting repair instructions and then we’ll get a notice. Hopefully, those of us already driving a Mav won’t have it fail on us. In an oddly similar situation, the oil light came on in my wife’s 2018 Kia Sportage. I never saw any evidence of a leak, but the dip stick was dry...

  13. Beware of serious MPG loss with larger tires

  14. Beware of serious MPG loss with larger tires

    255 is height not width
  15. Beware of serious MPG loss with larger tires

Width was the same. It was the height that got me.
  16. Beware of serious MPG loss with larger tires

I think the moral of the story is, if you don’t want your mileage to suck, don’t get bigger tires!
  17. Beware of serious MPG loss with larger tires

It was the same width, but they were taller. That was enough to make the difference.
