The front seat-belts in my 23 XLT make a loud banging noise when I undo them. I have to slow them down to keep them from banging on the pillar. It's pretty annoying to me. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking of covering the pillar with some X-Pel or vinyl wrap to muffle the sound...

It was 9 degrees today. On the way to church, I had a crackling noise coming from the base of the windshield, It was from the area you mentioned. It wasn't a minor noise and very concerning. After church, it warmed up to 12 degrees and the noise stopped. No clue?
