Among the current Maverick buyers, there are two major kinds, the "true" trucker people, and the casual/commuting replacement people.
I consider myself as in the second group. One thing I have hoped Maverick is less plastic and a little refined interior.
So, the question is, will Maverick...
After not hearing anything from FORD or dealer, I called FORD today. I'm astonished that FORD told me the dealer took my order never confirmed with Ford about my order. Ford has stopped taking order. But will Ford still accept dealer confirmation?
I believe OP's original question implies only taking the price out of consideration among different sizes (for example, Maverick vs Rang vs F150, 250, 350) and styles (Pickup vs SUV vs Sedan vs Mini Van), but not the trim level (XL vs XLT, Lariat, Platinum).
Given the above understanding, I'd...
Agree, too. I never felt that I want it. But I had no choice because it was always bundled with other features I want, like leather seat or something.
I don't like the noise creeping in, don't like to fear the rain when I park out with it open. For fresh air, I can open/close driver side...
It seems selling used car is much more profitable than selling new ones. My 2013 Outback Limited with less 90K miles was offered by Carvana for about $12K. But similar ones for sale are $18K. Can selling a new car get 50% profit/income?
I like your assessment, very useful for potential buyers who are not necessarily fanboys.
PS, after I wrote the above, I looked at your avatar, I just realized that you are the Y owner I teased before. Now, I become your fan (blush).
Forgot to close/tight your gas gasket? I did the same when I got my new Outback years ago. The dealer towed it back but I guess they must have cursed me idiot behind my back.
I was almost set with XLT + Lux until I sat in to an XLT.
First for all, I want to have ACC but XLT doesn't have. But I kept asking myself whether ACC justifies the $5K price difference because the other upgrades in Lariat are not essential to me.
Then I visit a dealer and sat in an XLT. I...
I like Rivian's vertical lights design. It's kind of cute and fits very well to it's youthful lifestyle vehicle image. On the other hand, I like Maverick's design claim of "my big brother is a F-150”, too.
What I really hate are Tesla's boring breads and Toyota Tundra's fake foam-muscle-like...
I went to my neighborhood dealer and saw both Catcus Blue and Area 51. Area 51 looks great under sunny lighting condition. Catcus Gray seems good under any condition. But I took Area 51. The reasons for me are that Catcus Gray is a little too plush for me which will constantly remind me to take...
I can see you are a man of contrast., or finally you returned to your true self, as you are/were a Y owner. As much as I like Tesla's technology, I just can't ever get over its boxy style as an overweight granny, no matter how nice she is and how yummy her cookies are.
As a current Subaru owner, it would be a very hard choice for me. I like Maverick because of its perfect size and real truck style, not a toy, not too juvenile. On the other hand, my 2013 Outback has been so reliable and I expect the new Baja will be, too.
Shout out to Granger (and Ford):
The Carnival Delivery Event could be a triple-win great publicity and marketing stun among customers, dealer and manufacture. It could be a hallmark movie with a story line like " how a heartland small business teams with an American industry legend to win back...
Thanks. After double check, I see the mention of "Granger".
BTW, I didn't hear anything from the first dealer. So I do know if it has done anything at all. Now with the prompt FORD confirmation of my order from Granger, I don't know where is my deposit with the first dealer.
I ordered one 2 weeks ago in a local dealer. And then I ordered one from Granger in the last minute. The Granger one was signed with paid deposit this morning. Then about 30 minutes later, I received an order confirmation email from Ford. Since my orders are identical and ford's confirmation...
