I had broached the subject of putting in an order for a 2023 with my salesman, just to be sure to get one at all. I opted not to do it. When I got my VIN, I've been assured that my 2022 VB XLT Hybrid will be built, so I was glad I put the idea to rest while I waited for the window sticker and...
I look forward to reading your update, thanks for chiming in. Also, thanks for reminding me of the obvious, YouTube videos ad nauseum, for tips and tricks.
I've had two well-used Rangers, a 2003 and a 2001, both bought with many Maine winters to their credit. The 2003 had a Rhino liner, and...
Has anyone gotten the modular bedliner from Ford accessories? When my truck is finally built and at the dealership, I have to decide what to do to protect the bed. Original plan is to get a SIBL done locally but I'm not sure anymore.
Went on Ford chat today. Not surprised to learn that my build week was pushed back to October 31. Won't be long before I can start posting in the November Build thread.
Edit: I also got the email from Ford this evening. At least there's some continuity behind the scenes.
I stopped by my dealership this morning, minutes after getting off a Ford Chat. I was surprised that FC still sees a 10/17 build week for my XLT Hybrid. My salesman had no other info, but after reading the posts in this thread, my optimism wanes. Like most of you here, I'll be happy to see...
You can't mistake one when it's filling your rear view mirror. We had one pull up behind us in South Portland ME yesterday, but I couldn't dally long enough to have it pass me for a better look. That was the rarest item we saw on our 3600 mile trip, with 2 Mavericks a close second.
Well I'll be damned if I didn't just get an email to inform me that my build week is now 10/17. Where will it end? A VIN means a truck in 2022, but Ford is running out of time.
EDIT: Ford Chat yesterday said no change, still 10/17 build week. After surfing related threads, I'm not going to do a...
I just prodded my salesman and the guy at the status computer to see if they can ferret out anymore information about mine. Since I'm out of town right now, I can't make a personal visit, so I'll see what emailing them produces. I like the theory, although I'd just as soon my truck wasn't...
Original build week was 9/5, pushed out to 9/26, pushed out again to 10/10. I really wish they would figure out which week they're going to send the VBs down the line just build them. I sure as heck don't want to hear that they ran out of paint.
Had a 2016 Sonata Hybrid, traded in for a 2020. Just rolled over to 30,000 on our second long-distance trip this year. The on-board fuel mileage estimate for the trip so far is 53+, but I expect it to calculate at around 48 by the time we get home. Looking forward to getting the next gen when it...
I was content to order one, sight unseen, based on the price and the fact that it was a hybrid too. I finally got to ride in my niece's Ecoboost in July. No regrets here.
Contacted Ford CS chat a few minutes ago. The agent informed me that my build week is now October 10. I am glad that I didn't consider forcing a rollover to a 2023 because I really want the Velocity Blue. I'm curious what they're going to do when my build ends up on the line with the 23s. So crazy!
I ordered mine at their Bangor dealership, they asked for $500 and I gave them $1000, assuming at the time I'd be seeing my truck within 6 months - right. My niece, don't know, didn't ask.
When my truck shows up, it will be close on winter here in Maine. I'm going to have my dealer undercoat it, and send it out for a SIBL and detail/wax. Not going to bother with snow tires this winter since I don't plan to drive it in a snow storm, just nice days when the roads are dry enough to...
Just got off the Ford Chat, the agent informed me that my build week is pushed back 3 weeks to 9/26. Today is exactly 10 months since ordering, so there's a good chance that I won't see it in my garage for a full year since putting down my deposit. At least I'm in good company here.
