  1. Ford Bed Cap [Snug Top Sport] Spotted on 2022 Maverick During Testing

I like it. It's lifted in the back to prevent rear visibility out the window from being cut off or reduced, which is I'm guessing something they did because there's such an intense focus on making this truck accessible for people who have never driven a truck before or have limited height etc...
  2. Expectation for "off the lot" price vs. Build & Price

ouch those taxes FL its 6% and some counties (including mine) include a 1% tax on the first $5000. Then $32.50/yr to keep it registered, no smog
  3. Paint

A51 gang. I would have kept my original Cyber Orange order but the step up to First Edition offered a lot of extras for just $1k over my orange config and the First Edition isn't available in orange.
  4. Santa Cruz begins production, still no pricing

The Santa Cruz looks really nice and well optioned. I went with the Maverick because the Hybrid gets me toll free express lanes on my daily commute and I think offers a lot of neat functionality that Ford was able to make with their experience building trucks that Hyundai just doesn't have...
  5. Maverick Trim Comparison (XL, XLT, Lariat)

I could go either way with cloth or the pleather seats between the Lariat. I like the faster headunit, intelligent access key, adaptive cruise with lane centering, rear parking sensors, and acoustic windshield in the Lariat Lux truck I ordered. Still not sure what the Lariat signature lighting is
  6. Confusion About The Infotainment System - Base vs Sync 3?

I'm hoping the entire display/headunit can be replaced with aftermarket so that 5-10 years down the line when Sync 3 and 4 and old and can't do all the new fangled things that are common then, an aftermarket unit can slide in and add those features.
  7. Standard spare tire vs. full size spare upgrade? Diameter?

Pretty sure it'll be the same diameter, but it'll be one of those space saver narrow tires. Full size spare will match your other wheels, which gives you more life out of all your tires if you do a 5 wheel rotation or gives you a wheel you can continue your road trip on without having to stop...
  8. Maverick vs Hyundai Santa Cruz

Why, they seem like nice trucks
  9. 🗓 2022 Maverick Dates For Ordering Scheduling and Start of Production

Orders opened on that date. Getting your order in early helps but Ford is going to build what they can. Some items like the mudflaps or Rapid Red paint are late availability so even if you ordered early, your truck may not be the first one off the lot. You could order today and have the right...
  10. What colors are available for the First Edition

Here's my order sheet if that helps your dealer believe other colors are FE, in case the picture of the A51 FE on the Maverick page on Ford's website wasn't enough
  11. What colors are available for the First Edition

I ordered the area 51 FE and someone else on here ordered the carbonized Grey FE. Albert at Granger Ford mentioned the Rapid Red is a late availability color and will delay your order a little bit
  12. Thoughts on the Lightning?

I have my reservation in. Based on pricing, I'll probably get a standard range Pro with as many options as I can because the supposed upcharge for XLT and Lariat seem steep
  13. CARBONIZED GRAY Maverick Photos Thread

saw a Bronco Sport in Carbonized Grey today and it looked very nice. I think it'll look great on the Maverick
  14. Will my Yakima Overhaul HD fit in a 4.5 foot bed?

don't see why it won't fit but won't you just have less spread because the bed is shorter?
  15. Are dealers not interested or informed?

Makes sense Do you guys get any sort of insight or feedback from Ford about when the shortages should stop?
  16. First Edition Hood Decal

Here's what a first edition Bronco Sport looks like. I think it'll probably be pretty similar. If you don't like it, a heat gun and some 3M adhesive remover will take it right out
  17. Comfort Level Of The Seats

Probably a safe assumption because Ford built these to a price point and using parts bin supplies across vehicles keeps costs down
  18. Are dealers not interested or informed?

Dealers would rather make their own inventory orders and make you pay over MSRP on in stock cars
  19. Ford Protect Extended Service Plans

Hybrid already comes with a very long hybrid component warranty. I think I'm good on repairing almost anything else myself or out of pocket
