I don't use these new high pressure drive-thru carwashes for a similar reason. The AC on my late model Accord stops working until the sensor drys out which can take the better part of a day. Water also runs down into the passenger floor board as well. Had it happen at two different carwashes.
I called to schedule an appointment for the recalls on my hybrid ( June 2023 build date ) and the dealership sent a mobile tech out to my house who did some re-flashing of the electronics. For several hours after the tech left the MIL idiot light was on before it self corrected. Hopefully all...
It's nearly possible to do a complete drain on many cars. With my Honda and Kia some fluid always remains in the transmission after it's drained. A flush/exchange might work but those are not recommended. What I do is a partial drain replacing what drains out, then drive the car for a few...
I would not trade a clean burning hybrid for a dirty carbon loaded gas direct engine like the EB. My last two cars were GDI's and I speak from experience. Another reason to avoid the EB is the turbo charger which stresses the engine and is hellishly expensive to replace or repair. My son just...
I bought a hybrid because I didn't want the dirty carbon build up of another gas direct injection engine. My last two cars were GDI and I refuse to buy another one.
I hose off my yellow iconic silver hybrid daily. You folks who don't live under pine trees don't know what you're missing.
In the south we pray for rain this time of year.
Power mirrors and fancier wheels weren't enough to spend $2600 more for the XLT over my 2023 XL. Once I set the mirrors by hand I've never touched them and you can certainly buy better aftermarket wheels for less money than the wheels that come with the XLT package. If you hit a curb with an XL...
My tire pressure gauges and I have several don't always agree with each other nor with the tire monitoring display. So according to the above I shouldn't pay attention to the display and only go my tire gauges when filling with air?
For years I've used nothing but Costco gas in my automobiles. The additives are excellent and it's usually 10 to 15 cents less per gallon than any other brand.
I'm 3 hours from Atlanta and there have been no problems reported here.
There's usually a line to buy gas at our Costco which is a...
A 2023 XL hybrid delivered in late July currently with 4k miles. I don't consider its turn signal recall a problem. Gives me an opportunity to visit the dealership and use my points for a set of floor mats.
