A few of the normal things, price, fuel economy, etc made it a sensible car to purchase
The biggest thing that made me really like the Maverick in particular is that I feel like it's the closest we've got (or will get, for the immediate future) to a modern El Camino/Ranchero or an Australian...
Admittedly I'm not positive on the Maverick, I haven't personally had to do it, but on previous cars I've owned the dealer has software that connects to your car's ECU and can reprogram the keys even if you don't have one. Typically they can even cut keys based on your VIN number, ie if you lost...
For what it's worth I was able to add a third key (using my two factory keys) in the car using the programming process in my 2025 Lobo. I'm not saying you're right or wrong, I honestly don't know if Ford changed it, but based on my experience with my '25 I think at least some 2025s can.
As you...
It wasn't specifically "today" but rather the last 3 days, but I got a set of Good-Win lowering springs installed and had the alignment checked. Absolutely love the ride of the truck now!
Good-Win springs are in! Still expecting them to settle just a little bit, but after a test drive everything sounds and feels perfect! Still drives straight as an arrow even; although I'm still going to get it checked out at an alignment shop just to be safe.
Here's a before just for visual...
Very nice that's really reassuring to hear. I'll probably get it to an alignment shop just to check it but sounds like I'm ordering some springs. Thanks y'all
As in suspension/ride quality, or like it wears out/breaks things faster? I've seen a few people complain about CV joints getting worn out faster, but curious if there's any other issues people have encountered with doing a mild lowering kit on the Maverick?
Howdy all! I have been loving my '25 Lobo the past 6 months or so I've owned it, and I think I'm ready to lower it. I'm planning to go with the Good-Win springs: https://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Performance-Part/61-3431.html I'm curious if anyone suggests replacing/upgrading any other parts...
This also did the trick for me. I was waiting 10 seconds in between operations, even going as far as timing it with the stopwatch on my phone. Reducing the time with the key in the slot/turning the truck on/turning it off down to 3 worked first try!
Looks great! What hitch cover plate is that? All the ones I look up say they are "Not for Lobo" but that looks like just the regular Mabett one painted?
Howdy y'all, been pining after a Maverick since they were released a few years ago, and finally picked up a 2025 Lobo earlier this week. Love the truck so far! Excited to hang with y'all!
