I paid $300 for sub+amp kicker hs10 hideaway, $200 for tweeters, fronts, rears, and another $60 for a breakout harness to avoid cutting into factory wiring to get the sub installed. You don't need any wiring for the front speakers and tweeters, and crutchfield will throw in speaker harness...
For anyone wondering I tried separating the splice for the low beam and drl in the harness (as if I was going to do lariat headlights and add in the led drl pin). It didn't work. At least I have a drl wire right at the plug now.
Fyi for anyone looking to separate the drl and headlight splice...
2.0 EB XLT with 4K package. With "no load" going ~350miles over a mountain pass and back, plus some idling and city driving I got 32.6mpg. I went 65mph the entire time though. It could probably be 35+ if was strictly going to one destination but I was going for a day trip and exploring a city...
Can someone do me a favor and post a video of the rpm gauge in any gear from 35-70mph doing the following:
-Let off throttle completely
-Apply 10% throttle and hold, as if holding a constant speed with your foot.
My RPM gauge flutters a bit when I do that and I want to know if it's normal or...
Got the truck back today, official diagnosis was sticking valves in the valve body. Had a code for shift module failure and another for friction element apply time/range. At least the service was quick. Literally everything else was pulling teeth from Ford. Overall not happy with the experience...
So update: just got the truck to the dealer (after a bad experience of them trying to push towing charge on me until proven issue, and Ford roadside not showing up for 45 minutes after the scheduled time... Ended up cancelling and just limping it there myself), and they said the valve body is...
Keep in mind you are reading the forum where people post problems... There are tons of silent mavericks owners who have no issues. Like me, until I did.
In WA, It is only considered a lemon if the diagnostic process has started AND it has been out of service for 30 days. I would probably do it...
I'm thinking valve body too because it happened out of nowhere, and it also seemed to hunt for gears. My guess is solenoid busted in the valve body or one of the actual valves bound up. Clutches and torque converters don't usually fail going a steady speed at low load without the fluid being...
2005 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon. Fully built engine, semi built transmission (auto 5-speed). Mod list is too long to even bother, it's got everything. Running a 20g TD06SL2 turbo from Kinugawa. People hate on autos but with a shift kit from transgo, a big aftermarket cooler, and modifying some...
Sitting in the yard, waiting for my appointment. Driving around my project car is kinda fun so I'm not making a fuss about rentals or anything.
This thread on the other hand, y'all need to relax a bit...
I might consider this, especially if I have any issues with my second car. I have one appointment already scheduled with a local Ford dealer so I have record of when this started + forum. One month is pretty long and I understand they can't do much about demand, but I'm worried trying to...
Yeah no such luck here. I have a second project car so I'll probably use that, even though I got my maverick because it was too unreliable.
Actually the first dealership I called was the shortest at a month. Every other place was either 2-3 months just to look at it, or outright not taking...
I called two nearby dealers and they both said the same thing ~1 month wait, I will keep calling around but unfortunately I live in a heavily populated area so I think everyone is backed up.
Welp. My transmission is dead I think. I was coming back home from camping and driving at a steady 75 using cruise control (speed limit is 70 out here). Noticed the transmission was holding a low gear for some reason as I was going down hill, and when the grade went flat the truck started...
