all you need to do is put your hand on the handle and the door unlocks... pertty much keyless..

I pulled straight back almost back over it..

Just be sure you pull from back to front and level, don't pull up..

Re the black hood decals, very easy to peel off.. I live in AZ and after sitting in the sun (75 degree day) for a few hours, they pulled right off.. did not even need a heat gun.. Doubt it took over 10 minutes to do it..

No roof is definitly painted.. there was an option to delete the painted roof, but only worked if they ran out of paint..

I agree, not too fond of the black roof either, especialy in southern AZ, but at least I don't see it when driving

Thanks to all for the good advice, went outside today and surface temp on the hood was 115 and they were pretty easy to pull off,

doubt my $20 heat gun is capablle of that, if I decide to try it, will keep it on low

Is there chance of the painting coming up when you remove the decals ?

I found a heat gun, it this a difficult job, I'm worried about screwing up the paint underneath.. My mav is about a month old..

I thought about that, but decided I could live with'em..

I have had mine for about 3 weeks now, love the color, but could do without the black decals on the hood.. Traded in a 2023 XLT and new lariat is everything I hoped for..
