Thanks for the tip. I found some covers on Amazon and some locks that are outdoor rated (they have a door inside covering the key slot). Took a little customization, had to shorten the bar and bend it in to get a tight close but very happy with the outcome. Thanks again! Ray

Don't you also have to include the weight of the trailer? Taking items off the Maverick and putting them in the Transit is still not going to change the GCWR. Ray

This is what I did...

Does it have a hitch that you are not using and if so OEM or aftermarket? If aftermarket you could also remove the rear bumper bar if weight is more important than what would happen if you get hit from the back. The OEM hitch replaces the bumper bar.

Thanks. I love this truck! I had not planned to get a Hybrid but the dealer had a cancelled order so I only had to wait 2 weeks. Moved up from a 2003 Tacoma when one of the the frame members rusted in half.
