As of now, no the Tremor will not be offered with the 4k tow as an option. The extra cooling capacity, ability to tow 1 ton on my trailer, and plethora of good reports on the awd system have swayed me to the 4k option. Doesn't hurt that I love the brown lariat interior :) I'll buy a set of...

Interesting, is there any way to know when placing the order with the dealer what's long lead vs normal-ish? This will be my first new vehicle order. Not in a huge hurry but I'd like to get the truck before this time next year placing an order day 1 when the order banks open.

Right the 3.81 final drive and cooling capacity of the 4k is what's pushing me that way since I live in the mountains and drive exclusively hills everywhere and will tow. Think personally I'm leaning 4k + fx4 either way such an awesome small truck!

Wowza you have it harder then us! were almost as steep and 4 switchbacks here, but paved and no ditches so would never be lifting a wheel. I'm wondering how big a difference that rear "locker" will make in just ice/snow vs. loose sand and ruts/ditches.
