I have nothing more than bro science to back that claim up :) maybe it's all marketing, but the typical brands make bold claims on their top tier gas that I assume is related to detergents/additives. The variable timing of our trucks should make the octane rating irrelevant with carbon build up.
I see a world of difference between 87 and 93 octane in my ecoboost. I was very surprised by the difference and won't be going back. It's worth the extra $ for me to have the truck run much better and not have to worry about as much carbon build up.
This is interesting to hear. Was your friend having issues with bogging down? I ask because there are other variables that could also impact offroad performance. Driver experience and tread pattern come to mind. Tremor gearing should help offset the bigger tire but I'm not sure how much impact...
I think you're mistaken. Neither tire being considered is low profile. One just has a little more sidewall than the other. 65 is relative to the width of the tread (which is the first number). i.e. a 245/65 will have more sidewall than a 225/65 tire.
That looks great. I wasn't aware of any high quality quad-fold options for tonneau covers, but now strongly considering this over the BAK hard roll up. How much space do you lose at the front when it's fully up?
Agree that there are no statistics to support claim, but the design is significantly better for the tremor CVs. I refer to @Bwicka's thread where he shows the difference:

I was behind an 18 wheeler yesterday in traffic and was thinking about this story. The ride height of our trucks and many SUVs on the road align the hood just beneath the height of the trailer. In a collision, if the trailer bumper gives out, then there is nothing to protect the cab. A...
Thank you for sharing this hack! I reprogrammed immediately. My family rides with me a lot of the time and the kids always try to rip the handle off after first click :)
Thanks for posting this information. Extrapolating this trend to the future suggests we won't get too many more recalls.
They worked most of the bugs out early on, as expected. This is why I usually wait a year or two before considering the purchase of revamped or new models regardless of...
Brilliant! My truck is only a month old and noticed the key hole has rust and tarnish as well. It didn't bother me enough to worry about it, but this seems like a cheap enough solution that I'll give it a try!
Glad to hear the install went smoothly. I think 3 hrs is better than I could do.
a couple questions on this comment... 1) does CVF intercooler improve airflow as well? Not sure how cooler air temp would improve the turbo lag. And 2) When you say slight turbo lag, is this a referenced...
An idea for the tremor folk... I decided to add orange accents to the inside of my grab holes of my divider. I used a semitransparent black deck stain for the rest.
I was not aware of this product!!! Thank you for bringing it to the communities attention. It seems like a great ergonomic solution for most of my needs, and can remove super easily for hauling large loads. I just might pick one of these up when I install a tonneau cover.
No regrets at all from me. I don't tow anything and love the more aggressive look and smooth ride quality. MPG isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I get a combined 24 mpg, but everyone's driving habits, environment, terrain and hwy/city mix is different. I don't think the front bumper effects...
