You will probably need to track your mileage with fuelly or something. I was doing that never reset trip 2 from mile 14 , checked after a few months..still good but i think after 5k miles or so it breaks and gets real whacky..i had negative numbers somewhere on it.

if the maverick were going into a new generation like the ranger is next year then you could see that kind of increase happening (along with new body/features/capabilities/batteries) but its not so...no worries.
