Ok Iāve been doing the same thing š
Iāve gotten the same answer as well but I always end the conversation with: if a sale falls through please put me on your list of people to call and thank you!
Guy today told me he put me in his spreadsheet of folk to call. I have an October order so Iām...
I wouldāve done the same thing. Congrats!
question: did you have a previous relationship with the dealer that offered you this one? How did they know to contact you?
Iām certain this has been asked a million times around here but how does one check for unclaimed incoming mavericks? What Iāve been doing doesnāt work and thatās just emailing the dealerships to see if itās for sale when I see it on Fordās search.
Oh and congratulations!!
Forgive me as I didnāt copy who wrote this comment in another thread, but it was such fantastic advice that copied it so that I could review when my day finally comes to pick up my Maverick. So a big thank you to that forum member and forgive me for not remembering who wrote it. Here it is...
I was just looking for them last night and couldnāt find any. There are some sites out there that have specs for the Maverick but theyāre not official. Not to mention that I canāt get my 3d printer working yet! Thatās a whole other pain.
For my 2002 Ford Ranger Edge they offered me $200 which is basically āweāll take it off your property for you.ā
Iāve been offered $2000 for it from my brother in law which I will be taking him up on once my Maverick arrives. Itās my daily right now.
I bought a used 2015 BMW 328i with about 38k miles from carmax in 2018 for 20k. I sold it to Carvana in October 2021 for 17k with 64k miles. Awesome car and I miss it but I donāt miss having a car payment and I enjoyed the $7000 down payment it gave me for my someday Maverick!
I emailed my dealer about any market adjustments/ADM and this is what they emailed me back:
So the MSRP plus your tax tag doc fees
Which at most would be an additional 1,221.50. [Covering $500 tax, $599 doc and 122.50 for a new tag]
We arenāt participating in that absurd market adjustment...
I wanted adaptive cruise as well but couldnāt justify all the extra cost just to get that. Too bad it isnāt an option on the XLT. I wouldāve optioned it.
I had a 1991 Honda Civic and a 2006 Honda Civic Si. Both were awesome cars. Good value and the Si was the funnest car I ever owned. I honestly think about both often.
I also ordered October 13th and got confirmation that day. XLT Lux Hybrid with 360, mats, cover and flaps. I called Ford for shiggles about two weeks ago and they confirmed the order is in as well.
Nothing left to do besides just chill out and let the process happen. Iām lucky in that I still...
