  1. What is the correct wire to splice into for remote in audio harness?

People have been using fuse taps, I’ve seen people use different fuse spots for it. Me personally, the lc2i pro has signal sense and a remote out, so I’m just using the remote out on the LC2i
  2. Tailgate Lock on Maverick?

It will, it’s just fussy as sh*t…. Took some serious fishing the first time (and is what drove me to adding a power actuator from a ranger along with the wiring harness for around $125)
  3. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

Side note: I’ve got the DIY harness from them I’m not gonna be using, if somebody wants that… I’ve got a bit of stuff I likely won’t be using, I need to go through and make a list, see if anybody can use it and I’ll flip it all for cheap (including an unused fosgate R2D4 10ā€)
  4. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

I’ll try to work on something because I may take the driver side panel back off again… I’ve taken the tan panels off at least 3 times and haven’t broken one yet *knock on wood*.

Not sure why Amazon links do that…. They’re PAC ones, but the crutchfield ones will definitely do the trick https://www.crutchfield.com/p_007BB600/Crutchfield-Bass-Blockers-600-Hz-cut-off.html
  6. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

Then I’ll say the answer is if you want to absolutely protect your speakers back there, 600hz bass blockers/caps on them will do that, and they’re cheap enough. I have THESE but didn’t end up using them on my 4x6s…. You just connect one in line on the positive lead.
  7. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

If you’re sending a lot of power to them it’s not a bad idea, if just stock power, ehhhh…. It wouldn’t hurt but not necessary
  8. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

It’s essentially a bass blocker…. Resistors in line and then a cap on the actual speaker to cut off frequencies below what I assume to be somewhere in the 600-800hz range
  9. Hello Maine Maverick Owners

    Not a ā€œlocalā€, but I’m only 2 hours out of Brunswick…. I’d be interested šŸ˜‡
  10. Rear door sound deadening?

I just now got my pry tools out to try it and yeah they’re a tad tricky, but seems similar to the front…. I came from the bottom of the inside and wedged it in and pushed up hard. Looks like I know what I’m doing this weekend šŸ˜‚
  11. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

correct, they’re the same plugs (this one will actually clip in where the 5600/5601 won’t) (these were made by someone on the bronco forums, as they were having the same thing where some people could get the 5600 to work and some said it wouldn’t fit (which comes back to where I didn’t think...
  12. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

On that note, they did a video on coax under $99 (also I had the name wrong, it’s breakers stereo and performance) link:
  13. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

the phenomenon that you cite is exactly what led me into the path I’ve been on in regards to the audio system. I listen to an extremely wide range of music and certain parts of certain mixes were non-existent. It drove me crazy…. coming from a 2016 Toyota Highlander and 2016 Camry SE, the stock...
  14. Factory integration stereo wiring harnesses

Oh I’m not an ā€œexpertā€ by any means, but thanks Joe I appreciate that and glad i was able to help. They should fit without issue, you’ll just want to snap two of those ears off of them as there’s only two mounting holes, you’ll also want speaker foam or even weather stripping to make a seal with...
  15. Factory integration stereo wiring harnesses

In that harness from plug and play kits the key is already wired in off high levels (including power and ground to the ACM leads for those)…. then splits off the signal for lc2i
  16. $30,000 Lawn Ornament - I am LIVID

    A. Why’s it on the lawn? B. I didn’t say I didn’t understand him being upset, I get it, but if it’s my only vehicle I’m going to dmv and handling it asap or I’m going about my life and making sure I take documentation with me to explain the situation IF I get pulled over. I get being livid over...
  17. Factory integration stereo wiring harnesses

Nice job on the bracket. Love how you utilized the existing anchors.
  18. $30,000 Lawn Ornament - I am LIVID

don’t you think your thread title is a tad dramatic? It’s not a lawn ornament, and good lord it’s just tags. Others at least have actual reasons to be livid and have had an actual 30k lawn ornament.
  19. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

Oooooooh šŸ˜‚ šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļøI’m a moron, my bad hopefully in the next week…. šŸ¤žšŸ»
  20. Ordered Stereo parts

Let’s just say it’s become a hobby šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ on a serious note tho, it was that whole effect where I started with a budget build, then some unexpected disposable income came my way and the ā€œtasteā€ I got from my budget build made me want more and it’s just been experimentation to find that exact sound...
