I took a look at the dealer's videos and found them to be generally uninspiring with regard to the Maverick. Did I miss something? Were there a few that you found particularly helpful?

I've read reviews on Amazon, and I've watched the product video, but I'm still wondering: what's the use case for this add-on? I have an Android phone and I pipe everything through Android Auto to the 13-in screen in the truck via Bluetooth. Music, phone calls, navigation, etc. I can't come up...

I think the dual MG + ICE + planetary gear power sharing setup is pure genius. Sure, in 50 years someone will look back and see it as a sketchy kludge, but I wasn't ready to jump into a pure EV. In a world moving away from petroleum, it's a good solution.

We cheated, a little. When these shelves were first assembled, we added a spot of adhesive to the joints, with the idea that we were never taking them apart. They are one solid chunk of shelf. But generally, I would agree with you, these things want to disassemble themselves.

We purposely put them in the "tall" position, as that's their designed settling/standing point. Then applied the straps to pull them down toward the bed. This compressed them into a solid position. It was a short ride and I drove like grandpa. Mission accomplished. Took two guys to load, and...

Cinched those things down and off we go...
