For positive, there's another connection point under a black cover (right beside the red one) with a nut on it.

Re tail lights do you mind quoting which post was it? I also have Canadian model, but wanted to have default light to auto but not have tails on with DRL.
Looks like twisting the light switch to OFF will achieve this (albeit both front and and rear off). Need to do this on every startup since it defaults to AUTO.
one trick I learned: if I expect front be splattered, give the front a few sprays of spray wax (no wiping off) beforehand. Make washing off dried-off bugs (or whatever else) much easier.
I found the answer to my own question courtesy of this forum and new thread yesterday:

I have been contemplating this, but instead connecting with under the hood connection points and mounting the connector (i.e. DE12653) to the fender badge instead -- that way can connect from outside and no need to pinch cable through door.
Is the negative bolt under the hood threaded (for an...
OP did you ever find out the bolt specs? I am interested because the dealer installed mine but it is now loose, but the head is stripped so I can't tighten it.
It's the hill assist, not auto hold nor parking brake. Any incline, forwards or backwards (though I find more sensitive backwards) it does that -- one gets used to it. It does this every time (which is every time I park) I back into my driveway.
Thanks OP. Just did this on my Canadian spec 23 XLT Hybrid. Went for a (very short) drive and it did recognize the one speed sign near me. Everything is in km/h also!

@Chiefdq77 you had issues with the US or Canadian one? Nevertheless thanks also as I just checked now and it's working again.
I suppose it's isolated to mine/timing...maybe I caught it during an "update cycle"?
Have been using https://shop.ford.ca/vehicleordertracking to track since getting VIN.
Today, I am getting this message -- of course using same order number and VIN I have as always:
We're sorry. We are unable to process this Order. Please enter a valid Ford Order/VIN.
