Super disappointed the code didn't work. I don't mind if you want to set the price at whatever, but don't make me search out where to apply a code, only for it to not work.
Makes me wonder what else won't quite be right. Pass.
You probably know this, but "candy apple" is a type of applying two different colors: a metallic/sparkly undercoating (typically gold, but can be many shades including silver, brass, copper, etc.), and then spraying a colored 'veil' over that initial coloration. It's more complicated than a...
With great respect for the people who responded - I think I only partially agree. If a **likely Maverick buyer** is seeing that it's 'now or never' with a color - well, I get that.
But I don't think that's why the model has gotten so successful. They are winning over people who are not...
Appreciate the response. You .... got through? To live people? :: stands in awe of you ::
I've only ever got to recordings telling me how happy I'm going to be speaking to my local Ford dealer.
Not really worried if I have a warranty - more like, do I really have to take someone to small...
As a guy who only ever got free oil changes at dealership service dept's, I didn't know about signing.
I hate signing things at dealerships. Seriously. I'm a massive pain with the paperwork after closing on OTD pricing. I don't trust them for a half second.
I have some serious questions from this thread.
1. I've seen so many people talk about "calling Ford corporate" over the years. I've never, ever, been able to successfully reach a human the few times I've tried. Do people really ... talk to humans at Ford Corporate? How?
2. Aside from...
Yeah, I'm in Albuquerque and the hybrids have just been snapped up since ~July. It's very noticeable that recent arrivals have been heavily tilted towards EBs. Maybe these things happen in batches? I don't know, what I do know is that the 3-4 Mav owners I know are all specifically in the...
Same. Got a Lariat for 2.5K under MSRP (38.5) and ... well, I was shopping it vs. things like crossover hybrids, SUVs, etc. The truck is simply very nice for what the price was (didn't hurt I got a remarkable trade value and excellent finance terms). Do I pine for a $20K XL? Nah. I like my...
After looking at this issue for ~16 years (first PATS key was '09), I can't believe we're still living with this system.
Key fobs should not cost more than $40-50 (and that would include some comfortable profit for anyone selling them). Programming them should be $50 or a half-hour's charge...
First "just mine" pickup, though I've regularly driven many in the past. Had an Escape I liked. Have owned BMW's and Hondas mostly.
Cross-shopped with Civic Hybrid Hatchback, Kia Niro, maybe some Mazda, Corolla Cross Hybrid.
I needed commuter and errand vehicle; I live in New Mexico so...
I've notice the same things as OP with my 25 Lariat AWD Hybrid. Fobs are weak, and did I read somewhere that the horizontal keypads don't have replaceable batteries? When it goes, you have to take off the keypad. That's just gross.
I have a Galaxy 4 watch, will be upgrading soon ... I would...
Pardon reviving the zombie thread.
Just got a Maverick Lariat, bought a new fob and tried the programming routine. After the third fob was in the slot and did the magic, dash said "Key Program SuccessfuL" and I hit OK and ... nope, it doesn't work (yet).
How did I manage to get that far...
Correct if I'm wrong, but I see the 3rd key as a necessity if you want to be able to reprogram another fob after you lose one. In other words, if you want to be independent, you need to always have at least 2 programmed fobs.
So, getting a 3rd fob is to back up the ability to program fobs. Yeah?
Loving this thread. Have done some diving today re: fob programming, keyless entry features, etc.
Honestly, I wish ALL Fords would have the keypad that's under the frame that so many already have. It's like one of the best features, ever. Going out to get something from the car in the...
The 34 on the XLT with the lux pkg is IMHO a little high, but there are a lot of things that go into a deal, very much including the local market.
I paid 38,xxx (3k below MSRP) for my Lariat, but got good value on my trade (ok, great value) and the dealership was outstanding at beating PenFed's...
