It's absolute BS that these salesman aren't emailing updates! Their job is to sell cars and keep people updated. Updates are a part of the fun of ordering a new truck.
I have the 2.0. I'm doing mine at 3K then every 7K to be safe. 10k would be fine though. Oil life meters are pretty accurate these days, but I feel better changing it early. Had an 06 Titan with 180K miles on it. I changed it every 7-8K with synthetic. I'll be using the motor craft filters...
I've never had a tonneau cover so this may be a dumb question. If the tailgate is locked, can you still open it up or is there a latch underneath? I'd like to get one for hunting season to keep people out.
What size tire? Are you using a dragy? Using the speedo and a stop watch aren't accurate. I run 6.1 to 6.5 depending on temp with 235/65/17 Falken Wildpeaks. Ran a 6.1 in cool temps of 52 or so. Heat soak will hurt 0-60s. Ran a 6.6 in 90+.
I ran a 6.5 on 87 and a 6.3 on 93 a few days apart on a dragy. Best 0-60 so far using 93 is a 6.11. FX4 with the 4k tow gears. 1/4 mile on that run was 14.35.
The question was AWD vs FWD, not if it's capable. Yes it's capable, but not as good as AWD. 2 wheels vs 4 wheels powering through the snow is absolutely no comparison. Period.
Went from stock Parellis (225/65/17) to Falken Wildpeak AT3s (235/65/17) and lost only .12 in my 0-60. Same day, same spot. The Falkens weigh 6lbs more per tire. Test done with dragy.
