for trifold, the rack has to be vertical.
I went with a bombproof Lomax hard Diamond Plate trifold cover that will arrive Monday. My hybrid 2 weeks later, fingers crossed. Agricover, who builds Lomax, will have a simple and relatively inexpensive fixed height, bolt-on, sliding-on-rails...
Hey Bill, thanks for being upfront. You're going to get a ton of biz on this - I didn't care that much when buying the XL, as I liked everything else better about it, but I'll add this on just in case I go on a long haul. I looked on your website before and didn't see it. Please post the link...
Hey Bill - terrific!
Is that using a stalk you include with your kit? Would be nice to have it right on the face of the steering wheel if possible; have you tried or will you try the Ford (LB5Z9C888H) Cruise Switch?
Huh, how odd, mine was built almost two months before yours, yet it is arriving a week later... But what the heck, my Xmas present to myself. Congrats to everyone.
oh yah! (I'd be more explicitive, but this is a "family forum"). Thanks for letting us know, and please be sure to post when you get any news of shipments starting, or when Ford starts updating the status of the already-builts.
no tax breaks for hybrids - only electric.
and unlikely you can place an order for a '22 as that closed. but check with your dealer, or better yet Tim Bartz.
Uh, does being in Indiana mean being, well, dumb? I'm really not trying to be rude, but couldn't think of another word to explain passing on what is clearly the best deal out there if favor of gaining a second of the line. The OP says he doesn't care about that. Again, sorry for my language.
Absolutely no question buy the hybrid. I've had 6, all various Toyotas which are a similar system. All have had the best mileage in your conditions of predominantly around 45 mph, level surface (Indiana's not exactly the mountains), feather the pedal. I'm with you - who cares about an extra...
There's a whole lot of stuff on this forum re: "looks" when they don't pay any attention to screwing up what the engineers have spent many hours getting right... methinks all of this just increases wear, voids the warranty, and in the case of hybrids might just ruin the best thing about them -...
Dead Wrong!
1. It's a much bigger battery with about a 30-40 range, depending on configuration.
2. Which gains you a WHOLE lot in acceleration and efficiency.
3. and depending on habits, might not need much gas at all. we're put 5000 miles on our Rav4 PHEV and filled in maybe 4x in 14 months...
which is about 60% of orders apparently, which in total probably are nowhere near the 100,000 figure. They are building away, and will make as many as they can. That's why they are cutting off orders - I bet they have a pretty good idea of what they can build in 5 months (~50,000) on top of...
